The Arden Hotel was clearly sign posted which made locating the Burgundy Restaurant within the Arden Hotel and Leisure Club nice and easy. Plenty of parking spaces, free for customers using the restaurant by validating the parking ticket at reception on the way out.The staff were all very welcoming, smartly presented and professional. Me and my friend went there for an afternoon tea experience which was given as a birthday gift. On our way into the restaurant we were greeted by Jane, who effortlessly catered to our every need, offering to take pictures of the both of us with our tea, clotted cream and scones, delicious selection of sandwiches and cakes. We both enjoyed all aspects of the visit, Janes added personal touches made it that little bit more special.I would highly recommend to anyone considering going in the future.Parking: Free for guests/ customers who validate ticket at reception on their way out.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible

Excellent service. Wide range of options on the menu. Good food. Reasonably priced.

We celebrated my friend’s birthday with Afternoon Tea in The Burgundy Restaurant. Liam greeted and seated us and was swiftly back to serve us when we were settled. What a pleasant and attentive young man he was throughout our visit. The Afternoon Tea was lovely especially the scones, the only criticism I could make is that the sandwich fillings weren’t the best we’ve had in our birthday teas.

My brother ordered food for takeaway and I was waiting outside in the car. It took ages to and order never came even after 25 minutes. There was no rush hours. Even receptionist was rude and never appologiesed and we had to cancel the order. Never recommend someone to go there.

Worst service ever. I asked for my order 3 times and response was nil and even the bar receptionist was rude and at the end had to cancel my order because I was late for my appointment. Never recommend anybody to go there.

Waited an hour for the food and the steak was overly salted, the fish was old and the waiters didn’t pay attention to us. Horrible experience

This is a slightly formal style restaurant, old-fashioned in many ways with dark wood panels and the tables set out in lines. The menu is fairly interesting and will suit most people, but what makes this special are the staff - Olivia and Izzie are extremely good at their job and bubbly. The staff are on the ball regarding allergies and came back with what my wife could have with her Soya allergy, with Pasta and salmon fillet for mains, whilst I had the hot smoked salmon to start and steak as a main. The food was tasty and well cooked.Nice wine list, reasonable pricing, and some non mainstream wines.Dietary restrictions: Well versed in the needs of allergy sufferers and quick to ensure that you have some good choices

M42 was busy so looked for the nearest half-decent pub or restaurant before continuing our journey home. We didn't spot we could have just had a bar meal but the restaurant was excellent. The portions seemed slightly on the small side but the quality of the food was excellent and a reasonable price for the level of quality. Also bar prices reasonable.

Had a wonderful meal, delicious food - we all opted for the braised slow cooked beef and sticky toffee pudding ??. The service was very slow - apparently there was an issue in the kitchen. Nathan was particularly charming and attentive. And the other waiting staff too. Excellent wine list.

Another lovely afternoon tea at the Arden Hotel! Delish finger sandwiches and cakes! And Rachel, our lovely waitress, couldn’t have been more attentive! Lovely girl! An asset to the restaurant! Thank you!?

Had Sunday lunch which was very disappointing. Lukewarm food, overcooked veg, undercooked potatoes and what I guess was reheated meat. Served by a staff member who was new to the job and apparently untrained...he was sent out with sauces but didn't know which was cranberry sauce, mint sauce etc. Surely someone could have prepared him before leaving the kitchen, poor lad. The whole experience needs bringing up to date
