“Been planning on coming here for a while as I try every mixed grill place Birmingham has to offer and this was the only place that was left for me to try.Came all the way from Cardiff, there was no tables but the manager managed to get me a table, the wait for food was around 50 minutes but the manager was very accommodating as I was on a tight schedule. He let the chefs know of my order and my food arrived in 25-30 mins, quality was amazing, one of the best butter chickens I’ve had in a while. Could have added more fish pakoreh to the mega mixy but overall will 100% recommend this place.”

“Good quick service here at Yew Tree inn, good prices too. Mixie was nice, Achari chicken, prawns and fish pakora were very good. Curry wasn’t the best we’ve had, naan was very nice. Would possibly return when in the area.”

“It is one of the best Indian grills we have had in the Midlands. We also had a lamb curry, which was excellent. We had the regular grill, which came with couple of varieties of chicken (chicken tikka, garlic chicken, chicken wings amongst others) and a lamb sheek (moist and flavourful unlike most I have had). My personal criticism would be the lack of lamb chops in the regular mixed grill (that we like and most other Indian grill places include). The grill portion was massive, but the curry for the price is a little smaller in comparison. It served us well nonetheless. We also had the masala chips (which was delicately spiced and had a nice crunch), Pilau rice (nice), and plain naan (i have had better in other similar grill restaurants) Overall, good choice of bar drinks, friendly service, clean enviornment and decent pricing.Parking: Fair amount of parking area but not many places were left when we went on a saturday evening”

“I've been all over the UK for a decent mixed grill. This by far is the best one. Great food. Clean fresh and cooked to perfection. You can smell and taste the charcoal. Other establishments take note. Service was great. 10/10”

“I visited here today just for a quick drink in the afternoon while out shopping. I've eaten here before and not had any problem other than on occasion it takes a while for the order to come out. Always found the food to be hot and fresh, with a few offers during the week. Do recommend the Southern fried chicken skewers with the peri peri sauce, fries and salad. Just perfect!Ordering via the Greene King app works fine with no issues, can be easier than going to the bar for complex orders like a group all wanting the 'mix it up' of different things.Staff at the bar today were getting through the orders quickly, friendly and with a smile. Very helpful too especially when came to using a voucher and guiding through what to do, no complaints at all here.Atmosphere - Tables being cleared quickly, and found somewhere to sit with no problems. Background music is at a reasonable level so can still hear conversation. Being school holidays, it is a bit like being in a zoo with all the kids running around. Very family friendly, perhaps not so much for a quiet drink.Toilets were okay, the lock on the door was broken and bits of rubbish around. Not their fault, but could do with a few more checks / cleaning.Will come back again for a meal and the odd drink, but unlikely for drinks alone as a bit on the pricey side compared to other places could go for that.”
