“Had a really great meal here last week, we did have to wait over an hour for the mains but the manager gave us a free drink and was very apologetic. Steaks and ribs were really good”

Our waitress was quite miserable and banged the glasses and plates around, never managed a smile at all, maybe she was having a bad day.
The decor was tired and dirty, we were sat in a corner table upstairs — I was next to the radiator which was falling apart and covered in splashes of food, the window sill next to it was rotten and falling apart. Our table was also underneath a speaker and the music was turned up half way through our meal so we were left basically shouting to each other.
It was my daughter’s birthday and a group of staff bought her a dessert and sang happy birthday which was a lovely touch, however again our waitress barely managed to crack her face.
The food was good enough that we shall return however we were left disappointed by the service and state of disrepair.”

“My first visit to the Bell at Tysull. We were meeting friends who had visited recently. It's a great menu at a very good price. The staff were lovely, giving recommendations if you need them and every meal was excellent even with some off menu choices to help one of our party. There is plenty of parking, with a choice of eating and drinking areas and a very healthy patronage which is encouraging. We will be back I'm sure!”
