Busy, friendly pub right by the canal what more could you want. Sadly the beer garden is sodden at the moment but if this rain ever stops it will be fine.

I was impressed with the dining experience at The Onslow Arms. Generous portions, friendly and helpful service and cost atmosphere, it was a lovely place to rest and be fed after the canal boat trip.

Food is always great... it's in a lovely location. Staff are friendly. Choice of beers isn't my favorite but hey ho.

First visit here for Sunday roast. It was absolutely delicious, loads of roast meat and plenty of vegetables . Will definitely be returning.

I got a classic beef burger which was fantastic and came with a portion of chips that had amazing seasoning. The atmosphere was very lively and the service was very good. I definitely recommend this

Nice enough. Pub feels tired. Menu pretty underwhelming and burger and chips definitely overpriced at £16 for what you get. Pretty small compared to other places and very lonely presented with nothing else on a plate. Tasty but let down by hot patty (good thing) with very cold lettuce etc which i think had probably come out of the fridge (bad thing - room tempetature would have been better. At first I thought the patty hadnt been properly cooked until I realised what was cold in the burger). I think I was charged a service charge when I made the order myself at the bar and paid upfront, wasnt checking closely enough. Total bill £42 for 1 x burger and chips (£16) 1 x ribs and chips (£18), 1 x pint orange and lemonade and 1 x pint tap water...

We had a family Sunday lunch here and although the table for 11 was booked and food order was emailed to the pub during the week in advance we had to wait over an hour for the table and the food to arrive. The food arrived in dribs and drabs meaning the food was getting cold to those served 1st, who couldn't start eating because the sides and vegetables hadn't arrived.I had the mega roast and the rare red meat was tough to cut and chew with my ageing teeth, had I known the meat was rare as standard I would have asked for medium to well done.I had an upset stomach later that evening and I wonder if that could have caused it, the others who had the same meal didn't have an upset stomach. The smoked half chicken was very peppery and not expected or to the taste of some, for a Sunday roast, consisting of two legs, no brest meat as half a chicken portion would normally be.The staff kept us informed about the delay to be honest and we understood that they were busy.Parking: There is ample parking
