Overrated. Went for the Sunday roast. Started was good, freshly cook squid. Roast not great. Roast potatoes like bullets. Pork dry and crackling soggy. Won’t be going again.

Wow what a find. Definitely one for the foodies! We swung by here on our way home and so glad we did. They managed to squeeze us in but recommend you book. The staff are great- attentive and quick. The landlord welcomed us in and made sure we were looked after. The pub itself is actually an eatery not a standard pub. They have huge fire places with real open fires and stoves. The tables are really well spaced out. They also have a function room on the other side that was hosting a birthday when we were there. We ordered the fish and chips and the chicken supreme. Both were excellent. I should mention at this stage I'm gluten free and 80% of the menu was gf which was awesome. With that in mind I had to check out their dessert menu and boy, I'm so glad I did. A warm blondie was served with home made pistachio ice cream and raspberry coulis which brought a big smile to my face. We left full and very happy.Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free menu - 80% gf

First visit after 30 year gap. Still easy to find and parking excellent. Food very good and were I not driving I would have sampled from the excellent range of beers available. The dining room is quite large. Choose a table in the bar area for a little more atmosphere. Dog friendly and definitely customer friendly!

Excellent meal, very attentive staff and a very good atmosphere. Roaring open fire rounded the visit perfectly.

The food was great and the outdoor area was very nice in the sun. There is a little play area for children so great for a family visit.

Had a great evening here with friends. The food was excellent and the service was top notch...nothing was too much trouble. Although the restaurant was full and busy, there was a friendly atmosphere...

Lovely pub with a large garden and beautiful views of the countryside. Staff are welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is great.Food was good.Vegetarian options: Could do with more vegetarian options, very limited choice

Good service - lady with blonde hair and lady with dark curly hair were great and accommodating. Man with long brown hair was clearly having a bad day and was very rude. We all had roasts, and the roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings were obviously reheated, and the pork was dry with soft crackling. However, the pudding was nice, and so was the coffee.

Great food and good selection of beers. Doing an offer throughout Feb on Thursdays of giving out a small vucket of wings with drinks which is great ? the only downside was the price of the beers, seemed a bit pricy when buying a round but overall good evening and great service from all staff ?Parking: Lots of parking right outside the pub!
