Her attention to detail is astounding and her cakes always taste amazing! She is also lovely to deal with and really listens to every detail given. Very poor communication. I have been contacting her from 3rd May, the lack of response has been frustrating. Each time she has apologised for the delay. She has used excuses such as being at a funeral, thinking she had replied, being busy, etc. We are now in October and I have decided to look elsewhere as my partners 40th is in January and I have wasted months trying to get a hold of her which is exhausting. If she didn’t want the order, I would have preferred she had told me months ago. Extremely disappointing!*Edit: This lady rang me this morning and said she had contacted me last week saying “I’m looking at the message right now, it was last week!” when in fact it was 28th September, three weeks tomorrow. In the last message, she asked me for my address so she could check a rough idea of postage cost. Her exact message: “What’s your address Ciara please and I’ll see if I can get a rough idea if possible about postage (not knowing the weight at the moment)”On the phone today, she said she couldn’t possibly get a postage cost as she didn’t know the weight (after asking me for my address and telling me that was what she was doing) and then in the next breath said I could have found out myself….how exactly?? Surely the cake maker has a better idea of the weight of a sugar model and I don’t know her address to get a postage cost. I’m absolutely baffled that she even expected me as a customer to do this research, especially after informing me she was doing this. So you can imagine my confusion when she told me on the phone that getting a postage cost wasn’t possible. What was the point in asking for my address and telling me you would find this out in the first place if it wasn’t possible? For context, it took her two days to respond to the first message (which was fine) then 6 days, then no response until I contacted her again 3 months later, then 15 days, then 20 days but somehow she seems confused by my negative review as she feels she communicated promptly. When you read and ignore customers messages for up to 3 months, it sends out the message that their custom is not important. The postage cost was not of importance to me, you actually asked for my address to find this out, I never once asked how much postage would cost and then 3 weeks later you still had not got back to me. I also do not appreciate being referred to as a “troll” which is highly inappropriate, unprofessional and offensive.

We had a beautiful cake made by Alicia in 2022 for our daughters 4th birthday. It was stunning, so detailed and delicious to eat. She was so focused on what we wanted and we really appreciated it. Highly recommended for any special occasion.

Van der shnoodle cakes are amazing. Alicia puts an enormous amount of effort into her cakes to make it perfect for you. I wanted a cake for my daughters birthday and decided on a cat cake. What I ended up with was truly incredible!! It was a cat shaped cat lying just like my cat does, and my daughter loved it. The cake tasted lovely too.
