I really want to give it a 5 rating, the cakes are homemade, the food is not too bad, but the service is so slow, we were the only customers and it still took 10 minutes to bring up the drinks, just an idea, if someone orders cakes, bring them up with the drinks. Some Table service training wouldn’t go a miss too.

Arrived at 12.30pm hoping for a seat. Cafe was empty. Ordered jacket potato with tuna. Good service - potato arrived quickly. It wasn’t hot though. Side salad consisted of loads of shredded lettuce, one cherry tomato and two thin slices of cucumber. I’m sure they do wonderful coffee, but I won’t be coming here for lunch again, sadly.

On arrival advised that no hot food available, 12/09/23. Fortunately only wanted coffee. Waited a good 10 -15 mins before it was eventually served. Had we not previously paid, we would have gone elsewhere. No apology etc. Barista appeared to be not able to use machine properly. Guessing it may be under new ownership. Better improve soon, considering the neighbouring opposition. We'll stick with The Trading Post in future. Disappointed ?

Panini, tuna sandwich, Ploughman's all great food. Service friendly, efficient and let us move two tables together outside to accommodate. Will be back again when next in Chi.

So today I walked in to an awful atmosphere a lady was stood out the back which I guess is the kitchen screaming ? and swearing her head off not sure it this was In general or directed at a staff member when the kind gentleman came out to service me he was shaking and very embarrassed I said I heard everything I hope she didn't speak to you in that awful manner he just kept quiet and smiled ? I felt so sorry for him no one should deal with that directed or not very unprofessional

I ordered a late and some dessert as well, when I tried the latte it tasted very bitter and burnt, also there wasn't any network service at the coffee shop so I couldn't use my phone. In 3 minutes I asked for the bill and let the girl from the coffee shop know that the coffee is literally undrinkable. She just said she sorry and charged me the full price. Very poor customer service(Thanks for your reply, apparently you can't trust your workers, when I asked for the bill and explained that the coffee isn't drinkable, the girl with red hair offered to pour the same coffee to a takeaway cup so the coffee was almost full cup)

Coffee was delicious and hot, and service was good.I had a piece of cake, but unfortunately, one side of it was stale. It had obviously been left sitting on display without airtight covering. The side that was freshly cut away was moist. Shame, as it tasted OK, but attention to detail on storage and display is required. As a customer, I wondered if it was unpopular.

Rather disrespectful dreadful manager lady forgets numbers names slags off her staff as you professionally enquire about a job. I previously did 70 hours at a restaurant serving 500 heads in same town and don't "take an hour to make a sandwich" like your unfortunate member you don't seem to like much bless the guy. Some respectful training maybe?Cooked food left on side for hours gathering bacteria clearly cheap and basic cramped back room and not much organisation structure of business and a really small stock of basic food because you really don't sell anything because you're not all you seem to say you are clearly just a confused rude embarrassment of a manager.I AM A HUMAN BEING THAT DESERVES DIGNITY NOT YOUR AUTISTIC SLAVE/VOLUNTEER/MUG YOU OFFERED A JOB TO THEN BEAT AROUND THE BUSH.Got my hopes up told me to come in for a shift then gives me the run around. Apparently doesn't save numbers or use emails or anything barely professional so her payroll can't be great and guess what it wasn't. Went all the way to Nisbets to get some smart non refundable black uniform and look the part and work for this dreadful woman who bad mouths her own staff next minute she doesn't know if I'll be paid at all and tells me it's not her decision tells me to come back in a few days or she'll respond and give me another date but someone else was before me or a bigger priority and I don't get the promised call or good luck wished on My futureI didn't get a penny with this lady who just breaks all promises it seems and knows not that much besides hire the first face she talks to not the experienced. Pretends she's all sorry that I've made such an effort and spent good money to be a proper role model after convincing her I can do exactly what she wants I've seen American diners to fine dining and now back to fine dining and weddint venues and dabbled for a bit in fast food priorI feel sorry for you you lost outI'm now a permanent fullers employee living on site in a charming pub in the countryside where I reside now. Jokes on you.

Stopped off for coffee in the new Arcobaleno cafe, formally Crumbs and Cream. It was really good coffee and very friendly owner. I will go again.

Nice cake and hot chocolate but the cigarette smell a bit distracting. Doesn’t smell like fresh cigarettes, more like stale old smoke that’s stuck in the carpet/furniture.

My experience seems to have been at odds with other, recent, reviewers. On entering, we were warned there was a bit of a delay for food. Not a problem, so we ordered drinks and food, when the drinks were delivered. Ok, so there was a wait (and slightly longer than told) but we both concluded it was worth it. Two excellent pasta dishes, a pesto and an arribiata. Really nice tea and coffee too. We have regularly been here, over the years, and hadn't ever had a bad experience. This was no exception.

This cafe serves good food. I can recommend the jacket potatoes. You get 2 smaller ones rather than 1 huge potato, which I prefer. The tuna mato topping is delicious. We sat outside, and it was noisy due to the buses (I suggest sitting inside). I'd definitely go back.

Cappuccino was practically made with water then added frothed milk separately. Hot chocolate was watery and barely hot chocolate, with stale marshmallows. Horrible and chewy.

We visited this cafe for breakfast. On the menu it states full English breakfast tea and coffee. When we went to pay we were told the tea and coffee are extra, why mention it with the breakfast then. When our breakfast arrived, it was the worst breakfast we have ever had. The sausages were not edible, the eggs were all crispy and the toast resembled a slice of bread, and to top it all the tea was disgusting, I couldn’t even drink it. Twenty pounds badly spent, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else wastes their money in this cafe.

Myself and a friend decided to try this little café and what a awful time we had ? the little cakes in the front window had ants all over and were mostly melted but as it was a warm day it might have been a coincidence but after walking into the cafe we saw more ants on the floor and counter where the till was. We felt rude walking out so we ordered two hot drinks and a sandwich and cake (that was in the display case) my god what a regret that was. For two drinks one sandwich and one bit of cake came to nearly £30. The bread of the sandwich was stale and there was barely any filling in it. The cake must have been sitting there for days as the icing was rock hard just like the sponge. Our drinks were luke warm and the oat milk tasted off. When we left and mentioned our issues the lady at the counter said the cake was from a few days ago and the bread was fresh that day and it wasn’t her issue. She had à very strong cigarette smell to her and we decided to just leave. A nice catch up lunch with a friend turned into a disaster ? Im not one to put up reviews but after our visit i wouldn’t want anybody else to waste their money here… if you are reading this save your money and go to someplace cleaner and better?
