A beautiful lunch for a belated mother's day. I hadn't been here for quite a few years so wasn't sure what it would be like now but I was not disappointed. Great menu, food was absolutely beautiful, brilliant and friendly staff and service, and a beautiful country pub with a lovely atmosphere. What more can you want? It was also so lovely to see dogs being welcome.Vegetarian options: My mum is vegan, and although there were no vegan options on the menu they were amazing and do cater for a vegan diet. My mum had a vegan burger which she really enjoyed.Parking: Free parking and plenty of spaces, best to car share if possible as it does get busy at times.Kid-friendliness: Lovely welcoming atmosphere for everyone, young families included. A lovely garden for kids to stretch their legs and be kids in.

We arranged to meet two other couples here on Tuesday 5th March. We had arrived early so decided to order a couple of drinks from the bar. I ordered a diet cola and my husband had an ale. When my cola arrived it was flat so I asked the waitress if their cababna gas had gone so she went off to ask the bar staff. She came back and offered to get me a bottle of cola instead but I would have to pay the difference.....I thought this was dreadful customer service so refused . In short I paid £3.50 or something like that for a cola I couldn't drink because it tasted disgusting, I was so angry that I was not then going to pay my money to them for food , I felt obliged to order as everyone else was eating but I didn't enjoy the food as I felt I had been treated badly and begrudged paying them my money. I was not impressed with this place at all so wouldn't return I will give my money to another establishment who know how to treat customers. This could have had a completely different outcome had the staff been trained properly in customer service.

We arrived at after 8pm that kitchen shut at 9pm. Was welcomed in and shown to table. Interesting decor. Given menu options and a specials board.We chose of board and menu. Look, quality and taste were all there and on point. Price was also reasonable for todays market.Currently is now in my top ten, but list only has five restaurants and one of those I have not been to for a very long time.Am I fussy? When it's right it is.

We went there for my special birthday a few days ago we arrived at 7 waited an hour and a half for our food.We all paid our contribution and there was 18 pounds owing which my husband had to pay.We will not be returning.
Food was great, as always. The staff are really friendly, without being obtrusive. The seating is set out in different areas, so it never feels crowded. It's a calm atmosphere and have never been rushed for the table to be used again, they're very good at juggling tables.
