Amber was very friendly and accommodating to us especially to my mum who is in wheelchair. She was very welcoming, attentive and helpful!

Fabulous time at the curious pig last month. I came for live music night which was brilliant, pub was decorated and it was a great experience. I ordered a Festa della carne pizza which came promptly and tasted amazing! I experienced great service from start to finish and will definitely be returning soon! Since the change in management can see a huge change to the place and look forward to the summer when the pub garden will be sunny!!

Disappointed with the Mothers day lunch today. Waited 1 hour 20 minutes for the food to be served.My wife returned her meal (Roast Beef) as was barely warm. The waitress was very good and did offer a replacement and refund on that meal. We did not want to wait any longer.Maybe more staff in the kitchen needed?

I’m blown away at how perfect yesterday was at the Curious Pig, celebrating the life of our Grandad Raymond. The front of house team, Jamie, Gareth and Georgie could not have done any more for us. They were so accommodating, allowing us private access to the entire pub until the evening and set everything up for us in the morning so that we needn’t worry about were to position photos, flowers and treasured memories we wanted to share with guests to look at on the day. The food was a hot buffet and was excellent! They literally went over and beyond tending to our every need, even down to vases at the last minute, and even plasters! We will definitely recommend anyone with a celebration using this pub and will be returning again soon. Thank you so much!

We had a very mixed experience at the Curious Pig, the food was generally okay - at times it was actually good, but at others quite poor.However it was all somewhat overshadowed by the way it was run and the service - we were having a fairly late lunch on a Sunday so it wasn't busy.We ordered drinks at the bar initally and soon noticed that some of the glasses were absolutley filthy - we would have got them changed but there was no one on hand that seemed in any way attentive.We had to go back to the bar again and ask for service so that we could order. Our starters came very fast but the mains took and age to arrive - these were generally okay, although the coleslaw looked like it had sat under a food warming light for quite long time! No one came to clear away the table, after waiting quite a while we again we had to ask to order desert assuming that the mains would be cleared away at the time - but they were not.I noticed staff standing around chatting both near the kitchen and behind the bar.In the end our desserts arrived while our main plates were still on the table. We just moved them ourselves to a neighbouring table as the waitress bought them out. They also turned out to be very mixed - the brownie was good, the ice cream was average (crystallised) and the lemon tart was not nice at all.Overall, I got the strong impression that no one really cared, except maybe some of the the chefs - some of which clearly had some skill.A real shame, we won't be going back in a hurry.
