Love this place. Went for drinks one evening and felt like I had found an absolute gem. Great old school rock music, lovely Japanese lager and brilliant vibe.

We were driving through East Grinstead and needed a dog friendly place to eat. CJ's came up and we decided to give it a ago. The staff, especially the woman behind the bar was so kind and accommodating. We had two dog and a push chair with a 10 month old. She suggested the perfect table with lots of space and they gave us a booster seat which attaches to the stool, as well as loads of dog treats for our pooches. We ordered the Club Sandwich and BLT's and were all really happy with our food and drinks. Would definitely go again.

Such a nice experience since this establishment has changed hands to The Goat Kitchen. It has been a while since I have been to CJ's as I felt it (and its staff sadly) was going downhill, but it now has a new lease of life. We arrived with our dog for lunch (we hadn't booked but it was quiet) and were immediately asked if our dog would like water and some treats. Such a nice touch. Menu is similar to the CJ's menu of old but slimmed down and less fussy. Staff were amazing, even the owner came out to chat to us. I would highly recommend giving this place another try if, like me, you avoided CJ's in recent years.

Usually lovely but today my order was forgotten. As the kitchen was closing my lunch when re-ordered was slapped together, also with missing ingredients. Very disappointing..

Went here for breakfast, dinner and cocktails, all superb. A little gem of a place with a great atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff who make your visit even better. The terrace is a pretty sun spot while downstairs has a edgy vibe thats very cool. We had the turkish eggs and fetalicious for breakfast, beautifully served and super tasty, the seafood platter and tapas are not to be missed and as for the cocktails, they know what theyre doing! Would love to stay here as their hospitality is great

Loved this place! We came for breakfast and it was so good (fetalicious and the turkish eggs!) That we had to come back for dinner and again for cocktails. A sunny terrace for mornings and coffee and a cool vibe area downstairs for food and bar. Staff were so welcoming and really added to our visit

Brilliant service with great drinks and food! Used to come here very often several years ago but hadn’t been in a while, and had also heard that it was under new ownership so decided to pop in for a quick drink and a bite to eat. The kitchen had unfortunately just shut when we arrived but the owner very kindly allowed us to still make our order and we had some delicious cheesy nachos. Since the weather was nice we sat upstairs in the outside terrace which is in the process of being repainted and updated, and is looking fantastic. Ordered a few more drinks and the owner was very friendly - highly recommend this place!

18th July was a moving day for me and I had no food in , do decided to go into town to get a sandwich to take away. I've not eaten at CJs since it became the Goat Kitchen but remember I always had had good food there. There was a new menu so I sat down to have a look and fancied a Club sandwich. Which I ordered. It took an inordinate amount of time to prepare, especially considering the place was not at all busy, just a few people. I took the sandwich home and when I opened the box I was immediately disappointed. There was this warm, soggy excuse for a "Club" sandwich, tasteless chicken, fatty bacon and bore no resemblance to a club sandwich. One bite and went in the bin. £9.50!.?... you have got to.be kidding. It wasn't worth 95p. I will not be returning

Excellent food and service you can order via the app or the bar. I had the breakfast which is very good quality, the only issue after several visits are that the mushroom although very tasty are always cold on receipt. I would suggest you plate them last this may solve the problem

Disappointed as we used to like it when the previous owners owned it. Today the food was OK but not great. Please listen to a customer request. The music used to be 70s rock, now very odd singing. The very best thing was when one of the staff started playing the piano. More live playing please. The place needs cleaning ..... seriously it's really dusty (to say the least). The staff seem very nice though so maybe it will pick up again.

Popped in for a bottle of Prosecco with friends. Glad we only had the one as we were charged £36. Ridiculous price as average for East Grinstead is £26/28.

Left waiting at the door and had to stop a staff member to ask if we had to find a table. Went to the bar to order and was referred to as "that guy". Stood for ages and asked for a slight variation to a meal and was told it was not possible. At that point, we left.
