Beautiful old pub with so much character, Sunday roast was very good.

Absolutely stunning pub with world-class food. We've been to The Royal Oak a few times now for food, and it never disappoints. The menu is always a perfectly tuned selection of traditional pub dishes made with locally sourced produce. Everything from the starters to the desserts is without fault. The service is always excellent too with friendly staff.I appreciate how much the history and character of the place remains intact. Everything about the pub has an old English rustic charm.May it never change!

Stunning old country pub tucked away in the countryside--everything you'd expect a quality English pub to be--warm and cozy; friendly, welcoming staff; sleepy doggos tucked under bar stools; great beer; and spectacular food. Came here for a Sunday roast with a dear friend and had an *amazing* roast dinner. She chose the lamb, I had the pork belly with crackling. Heaping portions of food--thick, juicy slices of perfectly cooked meat, roast potatoes, no less than four other vegetables, Yorkshires, gravy, the lot! Absolutely delicious. Cleaned our plates and were hankering for some crumble and custard, which sadly wasn't on the menu that day, but had a lovely raspberry and almond frangipane instead. Attentive but not intrusive service, good value for money. Can't wait to come back!

Stunning quaint pub in beautiful surroundingsService was above and beyond
Popped in on our way home to the Royal Oak last night for dinner. Warm welcome from the hospitable staff who were very friendly and helpful during our visit! We both chose the steak and Guinness hotpot topped with potatoes and cheese which was absolutely delicious! Great home cooked food, fantastic flavour and good value.

A pub I first visted in about 1960 and like all good country pubs has changed very little. Excellent Sunday lunch served by very efficient staff.
