We came to this pub a few years ago and had one of the best meals we'd ever had so decided to drive 1hr 15 minutes to have another one. Unfortunately it was completely different very average. It was edible but that's all I can say really. Nothing special at all. I'm not sure if the chef was off for night but it definitely was very poor.

Had a 3 course Christmas lunch at the Greyhound on Thursday as part of a group of 30+ people. Really excellent meal served piping hot, delicious, and very generous portions. Very good service, friendly and efficient. Will most definitely come back. My first visit to this pub, highly recommended on the basis of this visit.

Food was enjoyable, however the staff could do with some basic customer service training, some knowledge of the menu would have helped too.

We took friends out for a meal it was not busy it was bonfire night. The food and service was very good only down side was plenty of pate could have done with another slice of toast and we all agreed could have done with some peas with the steak that was cook perfect. Worth giving a try

Sunday roast is small but not too bad if you're old or have a small appetite.

Booked for a Sunday lunch on the way back from football, called to say we maybe early, no problem, arrived early to be shown to our reserved table. Landlord greeted us and asked about the football and let us know what specials / roasts were left so we could order before they went as it was around 5pm. Managed to get the last beef which was exceptional. Melt in the mouth, home made yorkies were to die for and the roast potatoes were spot on. Wife had the roast pork which was one of the best she’s eaten, absolutely superb and top top value for money. I honestly don’t believe you can get a Sunday roast anywhere this god for the money and I eat in some spectacular Michelin Star restaurants with work. So so good. Our 13yr old has the the homemade burger which he said was one of the best he’s had. So wanted a desert but we were so stuffed from the mains and starters that we could hardly move. The landlord then joined us for a beer at the end, he’d recommended an ale i hasn’t had before and was more than happy to make sure it was what I’d like. The house Red according to my wife was smooth and light a perfect accompaniment to her roast. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through Midhurst. A hidden Gem 10/10, family friendly and also judging by the other clientele dog friendly too. We will be back. Thankyou

Just popped in on the way home. Never been before. A lovely pub inside and out. The food was delicious. Baked camembert, pork belly, sticky toffee pudding. Fantastic! Friendly staff. Thankyou. We will return

Popped into the pub early evening to ask to book a table. The gentleman behind the bar said they were fully booked. He was dismissive, didn't offer any guidance when we asked if there was any where else locally. The pub was deserted .

No one to greet us when we entered. Ended up taking our own menu outside. Ordered and then waited at least half an hour for food. When waitress was asked how much longer it would be she was rude and just kept saying it would be out in a bit. When we did receive the food we then had to go and retrieve our own cutlery. Food was also not that great. Garlic Ciabatta made for a good drumstick on the bowl!

Had Lamb chop off the specials menu - got to be one of the nicest meals I have ever had in a pub. So tasty and delicious flavours to enjoy. Would highly recommend to everyone ?

3 off us on route to GOODWOOD Revival. Stopped for breakfast. £10 for full English and toast, with tea or coffee and orange juice - good. Time to order and serve (only one other group (3)) in pub - slow but just acceptable. Coffe & tea came quick, toast followed ( no marmalade, etc.) 3 breakfast took time to arrive (toast eaten) . Unfortunately the black pudding, sausages were very over cooked. Running late, hungry after quick family discussion decided to eat. Did mention to proprietor the issue - excuse “ new “chef” not cooked breakfast before!!!! 2 out of 5 could do better. Hope this helps all round.
