Highly recommend for walkers looking for a cosy night in a comfy room with good food!Just off the South Downs way, this lovely little Inn hosted a friend and I for the night. They served us delicious home cooked food and provided comfortable rooms.Single bedrooms had all the amenities one needs after a long days walking in the hills.The toilet in our room was blocked when we arrived and didn’t get sorted but an alternative bathroom was given and with a discount for the trouble.Service...read full review
We were cycling the South Downs Way and were camping nearby. This was a perfect place to have a couple of beers and eat. Really nice pints, very friendly and helpful service and an absolutely delicious meal - for me, Sea Bream with new potatoes and Mediterranean vegetables. I was surprised how good it was and not too expensive considering. Very friendly, welcoming pub. Lovely walks all around the village. Our room was spacious, clean & dog friendly.The pub is also opposite a great village shop.Nice to have tea & coffee making facilities and biscuits and bottled water in the room too. Will definitely stay again when up next visiting family who have recently moved to the village.
