What can I say?! I have never left a review before but on this occasion it has to be done. The White Horse showed hospitality at its very best, a rare find these days! From having our luggage collected on return from our walk to cosy, warm, immaculate, beautifully decorated rooms. We had a fantastic Sunday lunch. In addition to the delicious traditional Sunday roasts of beef and lamb with very tasty side dishes we enjoyed the Dover sole - a very generous size - perfectly cooked, as well as the lobster cocktail which was an unexpected treat. The décor is beautiful, the staff professional, smiling and welcoming. We all agreed the best Sunday lunch ever! Although we live in London, we have already booked to return.
I must give too many 5 stars , this deserves more, 6? We stayed 2 nights and ate dinner in the restaurant once. Really friendly, efficient service. Well appointed accommodation, good attention to detail. Quiet and dark no tiny red lights! Breakfast just right, good selection. A focus on British and local. How could it be improved? a bigger bed?
