The team at chalk are what a restaurant needs; friendly, warm, informative, present, aware and unobtrusive. They glide around making sure you have what you want. As a guest you feel like a private diner but there is still a lovely atmosphere. We were there on Valentines evening. It was a set menu filled with gorgeous dishes; creative, stunningly presented and filled to the brim with flavour. We're lucky to have eaten in a number of good places over the years and "Chalk" is definitely somewhere at the very top of that list. Go, you won't be disappointed.Cost for 2 of us including a bottle of Wiston Estate pink Champaign and service charge was £200. You'll enjoy spending it!

Fantastic service. We went there on the opening day, 19th Jan, for my Fiancé’s birthday, the service was so warm and welcoming and fantastic all evening. The food was stunning. Some of the best local produce and cooking I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Memorable experience, decadent food, and impeccable service!We’ve had both lunch and dinner at Chalk restaurant, as well as a wine tour and tasting at Wiston winery, both of which are not to be missed.The food is very fresh and you can taste that it’s locally sourced. The recipes are beautifully crafted and even better tasting!Definitely worth it!

The cuisine of this restaurant is always excellent and the dishes are delicious. I like the atmosphere and interior, there is no feeling of belonging to the time and the country, cozy, warm and friendly. Such restaurants add points to the whole of Britain as multicultural and at the same time very local, because they are located in the picturesque location of West Sussex in the middle of vineyards and green hills.
