First time I've been here for years.Pleasant, warm atmosphere.Drank John Smiths and Theakston beer which was of a good standard and cheaper than other pubs.I understand that this is now a community run pub and that improvements to facilities are planned and under way.Good luck to all concerned, I will be visiting again.

The most Underrated Pub in HalifaxWe go regularly for lunch. Everything is cooked from scratch inc fresh vegetables and golden brown chips(to die for!).Sunday lunch is just as you’d expect a meal cooked (like your Mom used to) and at £5 currently with a dessert at an extra £1, I always leave there feeling ashamed, believing I have just mugged Dave, the landlord! This is a community pub and all profits are ploughed back into the community, helping schools, charities and the underprivileged.Last Sunday, we went for lunch and the cost of two Sunday roasts and three pints of Coors Lager was £17.50, half the price charged at a local Carvery chain. You do the maths! Why go anywhere else?
