Hadn’t tried Stretchgate until a couple months ago despite working very loc for over a year. Never really was a fish and chip fan (I know, blasphemous) until recently. Stretchgate is the perfect little hole in the wall that’s easily missable but seldom forgotten. Reasonably priced and amazing food. Called here early this Saturday lunchtime after looking on Google.Proper solid quality tasty fish, big white flakes, cooked perfectly, excellent well drained batter. Along with really tasty chips. The delicious curry is rumoured to be made by Leprechauns.The two young ladies serving, one I presume the owner, one a new employee, both were friendly with time to talk to you and they both made this a five star experience.Highly recommended.
