Called early today to break up my first walk in months. Was made very welcome, beautifully clean and decent prices.

There was no food served, apparently for a long time, even though the sign outside said there

Friendly atmosphere, small local pub, good meeting

James Kilgour

Lovely traditional country pub. Stayed at the campsite a few times. Basic, but all you need!

Ken Blest

Website out of date pub closed again no opening hours displayed and looks like no food service ever

Camp field available next to pub car park. Pub provides very basic showers, toilets and sink, tap drinking water. Not run as a campsite but a good pit stop if long distance walking/bikepacking. Pub doesn’t serve food on Sundays so eat in Hebden Bridge before the very steep climb up the hill. June 2023

Arrived late after a long day on The Pennine Way. A fantastic welcome we received and a good overnight camp. Thank you.

Good old fashioned pub. Great selection of real ales. Locals friendly. Staff great. I will keep popping in, just wish it was closer to where I live.

Not the friendliest of bar staff, but other staff made me feel welcome to my stay at the little sloping campsite. A perfectly adequate and welcome stopover for backpackers
