02/10/23: service wasn't great and we waited an hour for food. Drink service not an issue. Ordered food. Waited nearly an hour for a food for 3 people. However, the pie was fantastic! Really enjoyed it! Actually to be fair, despite the service the food was outstanding! Food here is a must. Changed (on reflection) from a 3* to 5*.

Booked room no 10 as we have dogs. Spotlessly clean room. Busy Sunday as the sun was out. Very accomadating finding us a table for dinner. Food was fantastic, best Sunday dinner we have had out. Service of staff were friendly and very efficient. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely pub in the heart of Hebden. The food is great and the staff friendly. Has the feel of a cosy country pub with lots of different snugs and small rooms. Highly

We LOVE England
Absolutely loved our stay at White Lion Pub / Hotel - very central location, excellent food, tasteful interior. The room has been our favourite on our entire Yorkshire trip. The mattress has been the most comfortable I have ever slept on!!

To end our weekend in Hebden Bridge, we visited the White Lion for a roast dinner before heading home. The service was slow and when we were shown to our table we didn't get a menu and we were not told how to order, if we needed to go to the bar or if it was table service. We went to the bar to order after waiting 15 mins, to be told to wait until the waitress came around. We ordered and shortly after our food arrived. We both enjoyed our roast dinners, perfect to set us up for the drive home. Would visit again, just hope the service is better next time.

We really enjoyed the breakfast and also an evening meal. We even had a heron in the river outside of our room. I would recommend the cheese pie and also the meat pie.

This is a lovely welcoming pub in the heart of Hebden Bridge. We had exceptional haddock and chips and a good cheese pie, though this had a bit too much pastry. The beer - three swords- was excellent and the wine was good but pricey. All in all very good. And the bar staff were brilliant.
Very surprised. Refused a large measure of white wine. They did not sell large measures of wine however I could buy a full bottle. Put off the Sunday lunch as the couple sat next to us said the roast potatoes were not crisp but soggy. Asked to change chunky chips to skinny fries, well, that was no problem except that would be an extra charge of £1 per person as skinny fries were more expensive. I appreciate its a tourist area but blatantly milking customers is a strp too far. Meal arrived, and pie was so clearly reheated and dry but by that time I had lost the will. I have stayed and eaten here before. Dreadful visit. Would think twice before visiting again.

Service was lovely, but the food was very salty. Lovely atmosphere and very child friendly. The rose wine by the bottle was absolutely lovely, I ended up buying more to take to family we were visiting.

Great location right in the middle of town . Great breakfast . More of an apartment feel than a room . A smart TV in the room would have been better . Limited TV .

Popped into this lovely pub during my trip to Hebden Bridge, very welcoming and cosy little place. The service was quick and especially the young man who served me was so lovely. I got the steak burger, and the chips were the best I’ve ever had. I really enjoyed my meal, I’d definitely return. Really nice atmosphere and they also play great music. Brill!

Great place to stay, staff good and on the ball. Bit of a strange rule about the bar closing at 10pm each night. Good central location, close to everywhere in Hebden Bridge. Great breakfast menu but a little restricted on times (8am to 9am) so not so good if you want a lie in.
