Unfortunately our fish was paper thin, it appears this establishment has gone downhill over the last month or so. The fish was awful no taste and not enough to fill the gap in my stomach. Lots of teenagers serving. Very disappointed and have not been back since. The last couple of takeaways were not good they were the same and that's of course if they ever get my order correct which they haven't last couple of times. wouldn't recommend go elsewhere save your money.
When it comes to fish and chips in Holmfirth, Compo's Take Away and Family Restaurant is my top choice. The fish is moist, chips are delightfully crunchy, and the rates are quite reasonable. Plus, the scenic valley backdrop adds to the experience.

Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. The Cod and Chips were the best I've ever tasted. Bit of a wait because they cook the fish after you order it. It's well worth the wait.Parking: Small car park but plenty of room on the road.
