“We were served by the brilliant Mandy who put up with our mad humour and arguments over who was paying. Food was delicious, especially the sticky toffee pudding, atmosphere very pleasant and we had booked a table at only 30mins notice but were still catered for. Definitely recommend!”

“The pub is under brand new management, so were offering a temporary limited menu, still plenty of choice, and beautifully cooked and presented by Chris, the new landlord. We were a group of six, we all enjoyed the lunches we had.
The new landlord and landlady were wonderful, welcoming, couldn't do enough for us. We have booked lunch there again in two weeks time. Looking forward to seeing the pub go from strength to strength in the weeks to come.

“The Cow and Calf cafe offers lovely ice creams with generous portions, even for a small size, and the prices are very reasonable. The surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful and makes it a great spot to stop. However, the menu was a little disappointing as it’s quite limited, and sandwiches are only served till 11am.”
