Amazing birthday meal. The staff were so friendly and every dish was so fresh and delicious. A real hidden gem. We will definitely be returning!

Me and my wife visited La Taberna on Saturday night our last visit was a couple of years ago - they did not disappoint. We loved every single dish and the waiter was very helpful with dish recommendations. The whole experience from the staff to the music and ambience was spot on. Would definitely recommend aubergine frites and the chorizo is the best I have tasted. Will certainly not be leaving 2 years before our next visit. Apologies but I did not get the waiters name otherwise I would have mentioned him specifically as he was very good.

Nestled away down a quiet street and down a flight of stairs lies one of the most pleasant surprises I've had in years. The restaurant is warm, welcoming and the smells of the food hit you the minute you walk through the door. The host and owner is welcoming and always willing to let you know what the dishes are and what went into creating them. This is clearly a small family business run with heart and love of food, and that spills out into the dishes which were all universally excellent, with extra praise for the divine Chorizo (the red wine reduction is just mind-blowing). We had six dishes between us and they were all beautifully cooked, presented and delicious. Rarely does a visit to a restaurant go when despite how excellent it was you always have something that just didn't quite work. Not in this case. From the start to the finish it was superb. Highly recommended.

The best Tapas in Leeds, hidden gem near the train station well worth a visit. Will definitely be back. Staff were very attentive and made sure every need was met. Every dish was 5/5 and very filling.

This was really good. Honest welcome. Lovely bottle of Rioja. Chose six different tapas and enjoyed them all. This place is truly worth trying. We were enjoying a city break in Leeds and chanced this restaurant. Nothing but praise.

Incredible service. The food was absolutely delicious, each meal cooked to our preferred order and members of staff gave us their full undivided attention. Ivan the owner, was absolutely brilliant. What a gentleman and host! Couldn't recommend this place enough!

We fancied tapas so did a Google search and read the reviews on here. La Taberna did not disappoint. We ordered bread and 7 dishes between two of us, and every one was delicious. Unlike other tapas places in Leeds, this one is authentic Spanish food. It's NOT swimming in oil but tasty and fresh. The chorizo in red wine was amazing, the beef skewers tender, and the aubergine frittas out of this world! I should have taken photos, but was too engrossed in the food. We really wanted to order churros, but just couldn't fit them in! The bill, including a fab jug of sangria, and service charge, was £50 each. Lastly, the service was great, we were the only customers at first and received a warm welcome which continued for the whole meal. I HIGHLY recommend!!!
We had a really enjoyable meal, ordered quite a few different bits and all we’ve individual in flavour and cooked fresh, the dishes come out as and when they’re ready which is a pretty cool concept. The service was impeccable, particularly from the older gentleman, who was extremely courteous and friendly. The place has a real authentic feel to it and a good atmosphere! Overall we really loved it!

Visited after rave reviews. Not disappointed lovely food meatballs and croquettes were excellent but ordered calamari and did not realise was served octopus Only realised when the bill came expensive calamari. Did not enjoy the octopus. The staff were friendly and so attentive. The sangria was good

Everything was so amazing!! Planning to come back soon!!! We went for my boyfriends mums birthday and everything was perfect. We really wanted a place that can make it feel special and this place did exactly everything! The food the atmosphere and the service was all brilliant. We ordered nearly everything off the menu all to share and everything we found incredible. She was really happy and so was you ! Would recommend this place to anyone especially for a special event. Unfortunately didn't get pictures of the food because we was busy eating it all.
