20p increase on Johns today after a zero increase in the budget? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Goodbye you will not have 20p off me. Former loyal customer.

Called in a couple of times for a quick pint after going out for an evening meal so can't say anything about food. Nice clean well kept pubCask ale was good but it was very quiet , on two occasions I've been recently I've asked about live music and when next bands on only to be told they had no idea when band is on or who is playing ????I love live music and have been to this venue in the past with friends. If staff don't know if bands on or who's playing it's an opportunity missed for the owners .

Big shout to Callum for excellent customer service. I called in for a drink with my dog, and very impressed with the very warm welcome we received from Callum. Beer was good too!

The biggest letdown with this pub..and always has been is the staff or should I lack of staff. Saturday night... Great band on...1 maybe 2 serving. Sometimes it's packed..the staff have no idea who's next to serve. 1 night, we stood 20 minutes waiting... Needless to say, we left. Get your staffing levels right, and maybe your takings would be higher.

Food was good, service was cheery, can't complain about the prices. My only gripe is that the toilets could do with a good scrub!

The food was delicious, mid week lunch time, two beautiful sandwiches and a lovely refreshing pint. 10/10.

Not been for a while so thought to give it another go, So we went on Saturday night good band on pretty busy...toilets still dingy drab and smelling foul like some outdoor bog round the back of Leeds market, Trying to get served is just about impossible , after the 3 staff have served all their mates, We managed to get one drink and went to order another but after waiting ages to be served again and realizing you`ve more chance of Turkeys voting for Christmas, we left and went across to the Gascoin ...ah....nearly forgot to mention the other live entertainment when half the pubs braindead morons decided to have a fight...Mind you over in the Gascoin they had similar live entertainment with girls joining in.

Randomly chose this place for Sunday lunch for 5. The lady on the phone very politely told me that it would be very busy as a Leeds United game would be on the big screens, However, she said that if we'd care to come after 4pm it be a bit quieter. Can't imagine what it was like when the game was on (Leeds lost), but it was still heaving with fans, drinkers, kids and dogs, but we were served very quickly, shown to our table and the food arrived in no time. By this time we shared the dining area with a large family group playing bingo, and a ladies football team. The food was good, which saved the day for me!
