Ordered food at 7:30 pm, and not only did it arrive one and a half hours later than we were told, we had to ring at least 4 times questioning where our food was was, to only be met with "We are busy tonight". Once the food did arrive, we soon discovered that it was absolutely atrocious. Didn't get the garlic naan we ordered, one of the curry's was lukewarm, my lamb korma was so packed with coconut I couldn't taste anything else, the onion bhajis were stone cold and we didn't get the poppadoms we had ordered either. So once again we had to ring back and ask where on earth our poppadoms were, and granted they did arrive, albeit about 10 minutes after we had finished our food. And granted they gave us 2 bags of them, but one bag had poppadoms covered in some unidentifiable red stains. The only redeeming factor is that the food that was actually hot and fresh, was somewhat okay.

Since Zaika changed hands, the service is beyond terrible. We've given them several chances, but takeaway is always horribly late and often with items missing. Takeaway 2 weeks ago took 2 hours! Went to collect tonight - 40 minutes after the stated time and still stood here waiting. No free bhaji with delivery anymore and there's always something missing from the order. Such a shame as the food is lovely. Tonight was last chance saloon and it's been a big fat fail.

The chef was more than happy to go off menu and prepared a few of our favourites. The beer was cold and crisp - the food was delightful looking fresh bright and super tasty I’m going again this week - it was that good

Visited with my friend last night who is a regular to Zaika’s and I myself have been a few times before. Last night was our first visit back to the restaurant since lockdown lifted. My goodness I genuinely forgot how amazing the food is! I had garlic mushrooms for starters and tandoori king prawns for main and it didn’t fault. The guy serving us brought us the wrong bottle of wine, genuine mistake but we liked it so didn’t want to say anything, the waiter later came over and said he realised his mistake and he would give us the bottle of wine free due to the mistake. This was a totally unexpected gesture and we would have been more than happy to pay for it but it just shows the fantastic customer service that the guys at Zi’s have and the reason we keep coming back. I’ve missed you guys and your food and I can’t wait to return again soon!

Well given the Restaurant another chance, after going first night after lock down, no bottles or draught on. Wine oK. Just been tonight. Really what a slack set up. Not happy at all. Really miss Naz. Will not be returning.

Decor is very nice, staff is very friendly, family owned business very good people, accomodated our big party today, service was a bit slow but i understand it was very busy, would come again on a less busy day, food was good, chicken tikka was a bit cold but it was fine the flavours was good. We visit zaika a lot and there is a good reason for this! The Staff are really friendly and the food is without question absolutely fantastic! In the how ever many years we have been going I’ve never had a meal I didn’t enjoy and that’s working my way through the menu! Brilliant atmosphere and very clean and great decor! Well worth a trip for eating in or take away!

Become a bit of a regular here, especially in the current situation for takeaways, every time it's excellent, Jalfrezi and Southern Indian Garlic curries were amazing tonight, the Banquet starter for 2 was great, especially the lamb chops. Well worth the 35 mile round trip from Oldham to eat possibly the best Indian cuisine I've had. Keep up the amazing work Zaika
Have just been to the Zaika in Todmorden once again an absolutely fantastic meal,have been coming to this restaurant for many many years but the new owners who were once waiters here have really upped their game. Lovely new decor friendly and attentive staff and always ready to advise if you want to change a meal,if it will be suitable or not with the changes you want to make which of course is really helpful. So once again we have come away feeling that we have had a first class meal at a very reasonable price.

Whilst the atmosphere is beautiful and plush, and the staff were baby friendly, when it came to the food I was extremely disappointed. I'm Indian and I asked for the butter chicken to be made a little spicy. The response was pretty much, ,"no it's not possible" and I got a lecture about how it's not a spicy dish - hence why I asked for the addition of chilli! If you can't add a bit of chilli that means the food is not freshly prepared, or the chef is useless or both. What I received was SWEET, SUGARY chicken that was fluorescent red. I only ate a little, and had a dodgy tummy for 2 days after. Shame because service was really great. Maybe I just ordered wrong but they need to take that dish off the menu if they can't do it properly - it was embarrassing, sickly and made me ill.

Ordered through Just Eat... The food came early, the driver abandoned my meal on the front street as I had already been fool enough to pay in advance... There was nothing even close to resembling an apology from them when phoned, spend your money elsewhere there are plenty of good / better curry houses that appreciate and deserve the custom. (and when I left a review saying this on Just Eat they removed it)

We decided to give Zaika a try as it was getting good reviews. We booked in for the "Eat out" 50 % offer. The place was full when we arrived which good but there was a table for 12 persons set up which should not have been allowed as Calder valley was in lock down & only families were allowed. The food was ok but not brilliant. Service was very good as the 2 guys were up & down the stairs all the time. We will give it another try later when its safer to do that.
