Stayed Sept 23 for one night after a long days walk.They could not have been more hospitable, kind and welcoming. Lovely evening meal. Best cooked breakfast I have ever had ( ace sausages). Cosy and very comfy bedroom. Really reasonable price. All food obviously high quality produce. Beautiful area to walk in.
Fantastic steak and the best peppercorn sauce I've ever had. Really accommodating staff for us with a child, baby and a dog. Even had bottles of Erdinger, my favourite beer! Wanted to come for ages and will certainly be back!Can't recommend highly enough.

I haven't been to the Staff of Life for a number of years. Visited on 8 December. The food was excellent. Freshly cooked with a great choice. Christmas Menu gave an added bonus. The only criticism was that the gravy on the Christmas Turkey, not everyone likes it swimming in gravy. Perhaps ask before serving or utilise a jug. All four people in my party had a wonderful meal.
