saturday night for a birthday 8 of us arrived at 7:30, nice welcome, drinks order taken and drinks brought over within the first 10 minutes, starters order was taken at 7:45, starters didnt arrive until 8:30, and one of the starters were forgotten, to which they did get them out and offer a drink for their sins. however we then waited another hour for our food. which on a saturday night could be understood if we werent one of 4/5 tables in the restaurant. to be fair to the staff they understood that the service wasnt good enough, never the less being in there for 2 hours before our food just wasnt good enough, the food was good which is why this isnt a 1 star review, but serious thought needs to be given as to the waiting times for the meals

I totally agree with the previous review. We were 8 of the people standing in the way. Table booked for 8.30 food came at 10.45 if people hadn't walked out we would never have eaten. Really spoilt our family evening. Must say the food when it came was tasty and very hot but small portions. Sad end to 2023.☹️

Appalling experience! I expected it to be busy and for the service to be a little slower as it was new years eve, however, i did not expect 2 hour delays!! Our table was booked for 7.30pm, we arrived at 7.25pm and were greeted with, i set you a table up in the middle of the room but ive given it to someone else, we will sort you another, this took 15 minutes. A lovely young lady (she was the only positive thing about our visit) took our order. We sat there for 45 minutes, still no food, at this stage we noticed the food coming out of the kitchen was very slow and only 1 guy was serving. We also noticed lots of people arriving and then having to stand and wait for tables, there was at least 20 people, this made it difficult for anyone to move round the room, get to the toilets etc. After an hour we saw other tables, who arrived before us, asking where there food was. The young was having to go round tables and apologise. The table next but one to us recieved some food, we asked them how long they had been waiting, there reply was 2 hours. The portion of their food looked very small and poorly presented. After an hour and 15 minutes we heard people demanding their bills to pay for drinks so they could leave, they too had been waiting over an hour and 30 minutes up to 2 hours and not even a starter was in sight. We asked how much longer and they couldnt give us an answer so we too asked for our bill after waiting 1 hour 30 minutes and left. To top it all they charged us £23 for a bottle of house white wine. I understand these places need to make the most of nights like this and make as much money as possible, but dont take on more than you can handle and ruin someones night. By this time no one could get in anywhere else and like us probably ended up with a take away pizza from a shop round the corner!!

This place is a revelation for me. I was really pleased with everything; the location, the welcome, the atmosphere, the service, friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the whole entire place including the toilets. Today was my first time to visit Belluccis Restaurant and the place is easy to find right in the heart of the centre of Wakefield. The outside of the restaurant is clearly, visible and beautifully marked, Belluccis, in gold on a green background illuminated at night by golden lamps (You cant miss it). On entering the restaurant there is an elegant reception area separate from the restaurant immaculately designed with welcoming deco. Inside you then enter the spacious restaurant and bar area. The whole area is filled with beautiful and exquisite furniture which looks and feels very luxurious. The friendly staff welcomed me with smiles which made me very happy and I felt very welcome. I was promptly escorted by the waiting staff to my allocated table.. I first ordered their signature Zulu Spear mocktail which I had never had before and my my my, it tasted divine! I was also given a glass of cucumber and lemon infused water which I think was very nice and courteous of the staff at Belluccis. They serve Italian cuisine and I ordered POLLO CREMA, which is a classic dish of tenderised chicken in wild mushroom cream served with rice. I have never eaten such tasty Italian food in my whole life. I like my food to hit the spot all the time I eat, so the quantity of food served to me should be the right quantities or rather more than enough to really fill my boots. :). Oh boy, I was served very generous amount of food and it was actually more than enough to fill my boots. But I still managed to give my plate a clean sweep. The chicken breast was amazingly tender and moist and is so the the best chicken breast I have ever eaten. I had planned to buy a dessert after my main but I was so full that I could not accommodate a dessert. But maybe next time. I will definitely be back to eat at this place with my entire family soon. The restaurant is so suitable if you fancy to treat someone special to some fine Italian dining of family groups or even corporate groups. Please try it and you will thank me later Thank you Belluccis team and management. keep up the good work great service.

There were not many people in for a Saturday night before Christmas. Having been disappointed with a 'carbornara' dish last time, this time I had their special 'boma' which was very nice. However,, a relative had fillet steak, which he said was delicious, but it came with very little else and cost £27. His wife had cannelloni, which was tiny and came with no accompaniments at all. We had pudding, (not usual for us, but we were still hungry)and my tiramisu was dry and I asked for some pouring cream. The service was very good, but on the whole the experience was poor for the cost.

4 separate meals at this establishment; each of them excellent in terms of presentation, quality and tastiness. Impeccable service from the maitresse d' and the serving and cooking staff members. Pasta, pizza and fish dishes all were uniformly enjoyable; I was given a tasting sample of their South African Cab Sauv/Cab franc blend on one occasion, having expressed an interest in their wine selection. It's not a cheap place, but represents excellent value for money.

We went to the bottomless brunch for a girls get together. The food was very good, I had the Greek salad and we ordered chips and garlic breads for the table. The waitress was lovely and did well remembering everyone's drinks. There was a good selection of drinks. I would recommend this venue.

We have always said we will give this place a try, and last night was finally the night. It did not disappoint!Went with friends so 4 of us. All had starters, main & dessert. Food was genuinely beautiful & even tho the wait was a little longer than I would have personally liked it was mouth watering. Clearly all fresh cooked, flavours perfect! House wines were very complementary of the meal aswell. The actual decor of the restaurant is very nice! It looked spotless. The booths & cushions where we were sat were beautiful. Toilets immaculate. Music was light & set a lovely atmosphere. We were initially served by a lovely gentleman whom we learnt was working his 1st night. His attention & treatment of us was perfect! He was assisted by someone I'm assuming was management. Advised us on meals & was was attentive.Overall a lovely experience & we will be returning.Vegetarian options: A mixed menu with lots of choice.Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances have large doors with plenty of room. No steps.

Not many people there. Very cold. DJ played disco records very loud. Not good for conversation. Complained about lack of heat & food, staff just shrugged their shoulders.

It took almost 1 hour 30 mins to prepare the order for our table. Definitely too long. The food itself was not bad, but overpriced, as well as drinks. The staff seemed to be nice. Cannot recommend.

We were really hoping it'd be lovely but... Saturday night and very slow service - for example we were booked in just after 7pm and told online they'd need the table back by 8:45, but our mains didn't arrive until 9 - almost 2 hours after we'd arrived! The restaurant seemed really understaffed. For our mains we both had pasta which was stodgy and looked/tasted like it had been left on the warmers a while. it left us both with indigestion so we asked for the bill which I think might have been the quickest service of the night! One loo each for men/women/disabled so there was a queue for the ladies, and no loo roll. Embarrassing. We didn't stop for dessert and won't be back. It's not cheap, the vibe is nice in the restaurant (hence 2 stars not 1) but for the price I'd have expected a lot better. Such a shame.

Truly gorgeous food. Really well cooked. I’d recommend the ‘puff puff’ which is like a savoury doughnut. Couldn’t get enough! Lovely service too. Really friendly and attentive. I’ve never been here before and we’ve done ALL the restaurants in Wakefield. Can’t believe we’ve missed it. We’ll definitely be back soon. You’ll not be disappointed.
