Nice down to earth pub in a beautiful location.large portions Sadly very little taste to the food .

Local pub, primarily used by local people. Staff are always friendly and unless it is exceptionally busy, service is rather good. From the variety of food that we have tried, it is of a very good standard. Worth calling in if nearby

We came here for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed! Sadly we weren't able to put the tables together as they were too heavy to move, but the food was absolutely delicious! We were waiting around 30 minutes for a table of 8, and the food came out scorching hot so obviously cooked fresh. The portions were very generous, and a lovely outdoor play area was perfect for my 5 year old to explore. The fact that the tables are booked up weeks in advance is a testament to the quality. They catered to dietary needs as well, and I'd happily go back any time!
Dietary restrictions: A party member with Coeliacs was catered to perfectly.

10 years since last here, about 40 years before that, not eating so can't review the food, on saying that 90 % of people were so must be good, quite full for the time of the day, went to meet a friend, great atmosphere and everyone were enjoying the food. always was a popular pub and obviously still is...
