Reheated and if it wasn't then even worse. For the price I'd have liked it freshly cooked. Certainly not as good as it used to be. Maybe the oil needs changing. 30 min delivery which is fine. I'd wait longer for freshly cooked. Shame.

“Having previously traveled down from Kent to visit my friend in Calne, we decided to give the Lucky Boat a second chance, despite our earlier disappointing experience. Our hope was to support a local business and perhaps revise our previous one-star review to a more favorable rating. Unfortunately, our optimism was misplaced. After placing our order, my friend received an unexpected and rather disturbing phone call from the restaurant. The caller demanded the removal of our earlier review, threatening that our food would not be delivered otherwise. This appalling approach to customer feedback not only failed to resolve our concerns but further exacerbated them. Despite attempts to explain our position, the conversation was unproductive. The outcome was as disappointing as the call – no delivery, no resolution, and a glaring disregard for customer service. This incident mirrors a breakdown in communication and service, reminiscent of strained international relations. Moreover, such behavior violates the policies of review platforms like Google and TripAdvisor, which advocate for honest customer feedback without retaliation. It is with regret that I reiterate our initial stance: Avoid the Lucky Boat. It remains a sunken ship in terms of service and customer relations.”This review maintains a professional tone while clearly expressing dissatisfaction with the service received. Remember to ensure that all statements are truthful and a fair reflection of your experience.

Waited over 2 hours for delivery. When the food arrived I wasn’t impressed at all. The prawn curry wasn’t even a curry it tasted like a congealed gravy which has been on the side for two weeks to go along with the two tons of onion with the dish and the 4 prawns. Also the prawns balls the batter was soggy and the prawns was so tiny so basically tasted like a soggy slop also the sweet and sour sauce was watery. The chow main was greasy which left a nasty taste on each bite. The egg fried rice tasted funky and old. Overall not worth the money or the wait. We have order from here many times never really a issue. Tonight will be my last time.

1 hour 20 minute for food to be delivered, paid extra for a large portion of one dish but standard size delivered, by the time it arrived so late the shop was closed to call up. Lukewarm, bland, small portions, soggy chips, generally very disappointing.

AVOID! Or order in plenty of time, perhaps the day before, if you want to eat at a reasonable time. Over an hour and half for a simple order. Called though to ask where the order was, but sensed very little sense of concern. Never again.

Oh, dearest connoisseurs of culinary delights, gather 'round and lend your ears to the calamitous tale of our ill-fated adventure with the so-called "Lucky Boat " in Calne. What a preposterous misnomer for a gastronomic disaster that left us in a state of absolute disillusionment! On a balmy Thursday evening, my amiable companion and I, imbued with an insatiable desire to indulge in a delectable takeaway treat, stumbled upon the aforementioned establishment. Little did we know that our seemingly innocuous choice would lead to a veritable odyssey of frustration and dismay. Forsooth! The delivery of our much-anticipated repast took an egregiously protracted 1 hour and 40 minutes, turning our rumbling stomachs into cauldrons of seething impatience. When I, in my most cordial and courteous manner, endeavored to ascertain the whereabouts of our order, the response I received was nothing short of a flagrant display of apathy and disdain. "It will arrive when it arrives," they declared with the nonchalance of a somnambulist. The temerity of this so-called "Lucky Boat" to presume that their abysmal customer service could be shrouded in a cloak of anonymity is a testament to the hubris of an age long past. Behold, the power of the digital review to expose their lamentable inadequacies! My esteemed friend, who typically partakes in the culinary offerings of the laudable Wok Express, was utterly mortified by our misadventure. Alas, the food itself, which arrived tardily at 8:09 pm, was, to put it diplomatically, unremarkable and lackluster, paling in comparison to the Wok Express by several country miles. No longer shall we frequent the disreputable establishment that is "Lucky Boat." Nay, it should henceforth be dubbed the "Sinking Unlucky Boat," for their flagrant disregard for the very lifeblood of their enterprise – the customer. We shall return to the welcoming embrace of the superior takeaways in Kent, where service and satisfaction are held in the highest esteem. Beware, fellow gastronomes, of the treacherous waters surrounding the Sinking Unlucky Boat in Cairns, for they shall lead you only to disappointment and despair.

Easy online ordering, however it took about 1 hour 20 minutes for my order to arrive! I put the order in just after 6pm mid week so I wouldn't expect it to be crazily busy. The food itself was good apart from the crispy squid, which whilst the batter was fine, the squid itself was a bit on the tough side (but it's a new dish and perhaps it will be refined as they go).
