Lovely food, great service and a warm cosy atmosphere with roaring log fire. Had Steak & Chips & Lasagne, with delicious desserts. Great quality.

The white horse were very accommodating on our visit and made us feel at home! Gorgeous log fire right next to us and perfectly timed service, didn’t feel rushed at all and didn’t feel like we were left waiting, the food was lovely and hot and big portions! You will not leave feeling hungry! The veggie burger was delicious and would also highly recommend the curry’s ! Great value for money! Clean and warm and disabled access. This is an all round great restaurant/pub! Thank you, we will be visiting again!Vegetarian options: The veggie burger was really good ! Highly recommend

Absolutely delicious food.A good selection on the menu including vegetarian options but if you're a curry lover this is a must.Good size portions and value for money.Service was excellent, staff are welcoming and friendly.Best curry we have had in a long time and we will definitely be going back to sample other delights on the menu.We were a party of 3 and it was worth every penny.I would recommend trying this pub restaurant it will not disappoint!Parking: Large carpark and outside garden/,play area. Beautiful views over the Severn estuary.Kid-friendliness: Although we didn't have any children with us we did notice they have a kids menu.

£85 for an Xmas lunch no drink included. Yes it's Dec 25th but the main course wouldn't have made for a particularly good Sunday lunch even for £15. Not much veg on the plate, we were surprised when no extra side dishes were brought out. Gravy was thin and nothingy. My partner had the cod alternative and it was inexplicably wrapped in bacon. Service and setting fine.

We met family at The White Horse yesterday, Boxing Day. I'm so pleased we chose this venue, because the service, hospitality and the food were all amazing. We had a dog with us so were placed in their dog friendly area by the fire. They had been very busy in the daytime but we had the area to ourselves at the time we visited (4pm), which was great. We all had different meals and each one was exceptionally good. It's a rare occurrence to please everyone, but we couldn't fault a thing. Definitely will return!! Thank you to all the team! x

A perfect evening with amazing food and service from Rumit and Tosh. I host my ladies group special events here as well as attending with family. I cannot recommend highly enough. Outstanding.

Our Ladies Group enjoyed their Christmas meal and the whole evening was a success. Food was from the Christmas menu so lots of choices and spoilt for making a decision. A fire was a warm welcome, the service was great and staff excellent. Super evening

I love EVERYTHING about this place. Years ago I was initially drawn in by the stunning views, and as time has gone on I have become more and more excited to return. The team and their service is incredible. They are the most kind, accommodating and proud owners, who you can tell take pride in their service and business. The food has always been delicious and we always feel welcome and relaxed. Outside is absolutely stunning, and inside is cosy and warm. In our most recent visit, the team were really sweet and made effort for my father-in-law's birthday by bringing out his cake, dimming the lights and allowing us to sing him Happy Birthday. We didn't actually know they would do that so what a lovely touch. Very much look forward to our next visit! Thank you White Horse Team, you're the best!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating and varied options available to suit all kinds of dietary requirements

At £15 for a burger you expect some kind of effort. This was easily the worst burger I have had in a pub in my 40 years of existence. What we had was the equivalent of a cheap frozen beef burger that had been put in the oven at 250°c for about 30 minutes too long. I mentioned this to the staff quietly and they said they would tell the manager but the lack of any recognition when paying shows the level of care they have for their customers.

Just stopped for a beer, nice covered outside space for eating with views across the fields, selection of Butcome beers.

Rumit and his father organised a super post wedding Indian lunch for us for about 60 people, in early September. We had the party out on the very comfortable and spacious deck - but could have been inside had the weather not been so good. We went for a food tasting a couple of months ahead, and they were so accommodating in making sure that everything we chose was made to our taste. They also went out of their way to provide the particular drinks we wanted - in this case jugs of virgin and bloody Mary's - which they would not normally do. (Their own jugs of lemonade though were delicious, and proved to be more popular on the day!) ..... The afternoon was a spectacular success: the food was plentiful, homemade and delicious; service great; and the atmosphere very relaxed. We can't thank them enough for making the last day of a very long and happy weekend, so much fun. Susan & Manoj Khosla

This is a fantastic pub restaurant, My second visit I love the idea of the choice of a delicious curry or traditional Sunday roast on a Sunday. The atmosphere is really great and the staff superbly professional. Well worth the journey down the M5 from Gloucester. Will be doing the journey again very soon !
