Lovely Sunday roast, probably the best pub roast in a long time. Tasty i had the belly pork which was slow cooked but with amazing crackling too. Veggies all perfect as was the Yorkshire and came with the right amount of gravy. All served with a smile and just the right amount of checking everything was OK.

We saw it was Burger Night so we thought we would go as haven’t been back for a while. Delicious burgers…my partner had beef and I had venison. It came with delicious homemade coleslaw and skinny fries. Really delicious meal. Although we were too full we couldn’t resist the dessert menu! My partner had rice pudding and jam which I had a taste of, we both agreed it was amazing. I had the pavlova which was equally delicious. The background music is perfect, the tables looked really lovely all laid up waiting for guests. Lovely friendly owner and waitress. A lovely evening - thank you.

Moved to the area and tried a few takeaways and Charlie’s is by far the best I’ve tasted in the area.
We have returned a second time and the same high quality of food and service is fantastic.
We travel 20 minutes as the food is worth it.

The chicken is fresh. The chips are crispy. The kabab chicken and Donna are the best in the area. I won’t get my takeaway for this food group anywhere else.

I hope Wine Monkey can survive the Wiltshire curse that eventually drags down every eatery, when their clever well-made menus succumb to pies and mash, overcooked burgers, and gammon and chips. I thoroughly enjoyed a French dip, and looking forward to the muffaleta and the Cubano. Here is a place with real heart, good wine, and great service.

I came to visit my best friend who resides in Chippenham as we were completing an Ultra Challenge in Bath. My best friend recommended a few places to eat in Chippenham and we walked by The Garden as one of her recommendations. We looked at the menu to see what options would be suited for us both, as on our first day I could only eat non-meat options and my friend has a gluten and dairy intolerance. The menu offered a variety of options for the both of us which sounded delicious, so we decided on eating at The Garden.
We entered and were greeted with welcoming smiles from the staff, who accommodated us with a table despite us not having a booking. We were informed there would be an hour wait for food but we did not mind. We sat down within the beautifully decorated restaurant and decided to have the gammon and the salmon for our dinner. When I tell you the food was definitely worth the wait, both our dishes were freshly cooked and were delicious. I cannot remember the name of the boy who served us on our first day but he had a very friendly and positive attitude. We left on the first day with happy tummies and happy from having such a wonderful experience at The Garden.
The following day we completed our Ultra Challenge and I could not think of anywhere else I would prefer to go back to eat, so we returned for dinner. We were met again by a warm welcome from Molly and the manager who had seen to us the night before. Once again the level of service did not disappoint either of us. On this night we decided to have the chicken kebab and chicken kiev. We both absolutely enjoyed our meals; yet again the food was freshly prepared and was absolutely delicious. If you do visit The Garden I highly recommend the chicken kiev as it was outstanding.
We had room for dessert this night and we had the brownie. They were attentive with my friend, ensuring the ice cream was changed due to her dairy intolerance to a sorbet of her choice. I had the plum and apple crumble, which was divine. It came out hot and fresh with a yummy scoop of vanilla ice cream. The whole evening was just brilliant, and when I return to Chippenham I will be sure to only be returning to The Garden.
Thank you to the two servers and the manager for your wonderful hospitality on both nights. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. You will not be disappointed by the service or the food, and if you have to wait, it is definitely worth it!

I like the beer! I like the food, lunchtime and evening! All in all my favourite pub. One of the few places where the veg and roast potatoes are clearly cooked freshly. Lunchtime snacks are good as well as the main menu. Let a friend take you and enjoy the beer!

Really nice rural pub and restaurant.
My booking had been rejected by their system as the taking of £0 to pre engage my card for the 'cover charge' in case I didn't turn up, was refused by my bank...despite them saying it went through at the time.
Despite this the staff were super helpful and understanding, found us a table and we're happy to honour the 'auto cancelled' booking.
Food was underwhelming. It was OK and obviously made on the premises. My meal sounded exciting but ended up being a bit plain and my fellow diners risotto was nice enough but topped with pine nuts that tasted old and well past their best.
Selection of drinks was very good. And both the regulars and the open fire were warm and welcoming.

One note of warning. If you highlight the address from their own website and then select Google maps and directions it doesn't take you to the pub but somewhere very rural about 10 miles away and 20 mins drive. This glitch made me embarrassingly late and left my fellow diner waiting for me.
After returning home I tried the same thing again and ended up with the same result. MAKE SURE YOU ENTER THE ADDRESS INTO YOUR SAT NAV MANUALLY. Learn from my mistake, don't make your own.

I have to say this is my favourite craft pub to come to for various reasons.

The staff are always so fantastic and welcoming no matter how many times I've been each and every member of staff are incredibly friendly and each of them treat you as if your a regular whether or not it's meant that way!

I love the atmosphere... Yes it's small but there's always people in here and each time I've been the customers are also friendly which is a bonus and I've always loved the feel of it here.

The drinks.... The choice on offer... Always a good selection on tap..... This also includes the beer fridge which has a great wealth of types of mainly ipas and some lagers and stouts!

Keep it up guys your awesome! Wish I could visit more often!

A beautiful find in Chippenham! We dropped in yesterday to escape the cold and were blown away by the staff’s kindness. As a group of friends reuniting, we deeply appreciated the relaxed pace; the staff didn't hurry us at all, creating a perfect environment for long conversation. The tea was lovely and plentiful, and the overall 'homely' feel of the place makes it a standout. We missed out on the food this time, but based on the service and ambience, we’ll certainly be back to try the menu!

Do not go here under the illusion that you are only going to do the 4-course. You’ll be so blown away at the sight of the food coming out the kitchen that you’ll have no choice but to opt for the 6-course!

Seriously though, what an experience and worth every penny. The food looks spectacular with the flavour and complexity to boot.

We opted for a wine pairing as well and what a good decision. The sommelier, Marius, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Our server - a fairly young guy whose name eludes me - was also very professional and friendly. I jokingly asked what kohlrabi is and he didn’t know. A minute later he returns with an explanation after asking the chef!

With a Michelin star you expect a certain type of experience: the food, service, snd atmosphere certainly delivered. Thank you to Bybrook team that made our experience so memorable.

Great food as always but felt let down this time
Offered a meal deal for first time but turned out it didn’t include a rice or a bread or at least that was what the bill said ?‍♀️
Also charged £1 for a foil dish for taking the left overs home … I get it’s not much however never been charged for this here before or in any Indian restaurant we’ve been too ?‍???‍♀️
The icing on the cake was the waiter demanding a tip when we paid the bill which I feel is totally unacceptable
( was intending to leave one but generally I do that as cash not with the card payment but I do object to being asked for it ?)
Really feel the manager who is a great chap should address this with his staff
Will give this restaurant another chance as the food is good but if this happens again it will be our last visit

My friend and I really appreciated the atmosphere here as it was a much nicer vibe than a lounge nearby.

The food was cooked perfectly well and was very tasty but when I placed my order I did ask for catch-up to be included in the burger. This probably saved it going down my front so I'm not too upset but it would have been perfect if I'd have felt my order had been taken accurately.

I'll definitely go back as it's a really nice place on a lot forward to going there soon.

We were staying along the road in Box, and the Six Bells in Colerne was recommended for Saturday night pizza’s courtesy of the mobile food van, Only Fools & Morsels. Warmly welcomed in what’s a very friendly local, that nowadays doesn’t do food. Actively encouraged to bring food in - and the pizzas prepared whilst we enjoyed our drinks in the pub were excellent. Don’t know what the place is like other nights of the week but well worth a visit on Saturday evenings.
