Red Lion
High St, Lacock, ChippenhamWe were on a tour with Premier Tours to Windsor Castle, Stonhenge, pub lunch in Lacock at the Red Lion Pub. My husband got fish and chips and I got the chicken and ham pie and mash. There were 77 of us and the food and service were phenomenal.

The Stables Cafe
High St, Lacock, ChippenhamThis is a converted stables in the heart of Lacock Village. My dogs and I were warmly welcomed by staff and the high ceilings provided a lovely atmosphere on the inside in contrast to the rather plain exterior.
The outside gave the impression that the cafe was shot but the door was actually kept closed to keep the warmth in and the extra check to see and push off the door was well worth the extra effort indeed.
I chose a hot chocolate as well as the leek and potato soup. The chocolate was generous in size and tasty. The soup was also delicious and served with an extremely chunky slice of bread - and we all know that leek ace potato can be a bit of a gamble, but well worth the toss of the coin in this case.

The Herb Garden Restaurant
Whitehall Garden Centre, Corsham Rd, ChippenhamIt was late on a Saturday evening so it was quiet. The gyros were good and the price was reasonable for 2 meals and 2 coke zero. Portion size was quite generous.
Staff were friendly snd spoke a little English which was a pleasant surprise

Lavender Lodge Tea Room & Bistro
Whitehall Garden Centre, Corsham Rd, Lacock, ChippenhamA lovely place to eat. Great service very friendly and attentive staff. Food and drink was excellent. Price was a buy steep but no more than you would pay in other more up market tea shops on the high St. Would recommend to all.
