“We were on vacation in Upavon and spontaneously stopped by The Ship for a drink. We met the new owners of the pub by chance. They are two of the kindest people we have ever met. The pub is very cozy and tidy. We had a super great evening!”

“It’s a boozer in a small town, has a great vibe when football is on, beer is on the slightly more expensive side and never has anything draught ale/beer wise. All bottled and tap lager.”

“Great little pub in a great location and great ambience. The beer is great, the food is up to standard. We were particularly impressed by the parking space for small campervans and tents, which unfortunately is far too rare to find in this form.
Parking: Parking space for campervans and tent meadow”

“Lovely pub, tucked away down a lane which you wonder whether it leads anywhere but finally you arrive at this lovely spot right next to the Kennett-Avon canal, where narrow boats used to stop and still do, to take on supplies and enjoy a peaceful lunch. When we found this place there was Ska music playing in the bar but not too loud, and conversations going on about what a good night they had had the previous evening.”

“Lovely pub, friendly, they are working really hard to keep it open and part of the community. Music events, markets and many others. Monthly music bingo well worth a go. Staff are friendly and helpful”
