If I could give more than 5 stars I would. These guys served the tastiest food and we just had the best service. Very fairly priced and it was a truly delightful experience. Thank you very much!

Just had a meal here with the family. Very decent prices, and we loved all of them ! Can't complain at all. Services is good. Staff is polite and very friendly! Well done. We will be back for sure!!

I went today as I heard that there is this new chef and I actually wanted to take kids out and have a nice evening.. the food was ok.. I ordered 5 snacks and drinks. The portions were really small..but that's for the restaurant..the staff was not so pleasant.. may be I was an Indian going to Indian restaurant..the atmosphere on Friday evening was dead. I had issues with one of the item.. nobody even came or asked if dood was ok. Overall I won't recommend anyone or go there again..

Booked a table for 2:30pm. The email said to call if the booking was in less than 24 hours. It wasn't. So we didn't call. Turned up and it was closed. So I rung up and got a very rude answer about my incompetence in not reading the email.

We went on a Friday night about 6pm. It was fairly busy. We sat down immediately but by the door. It was chilly. The food was good. However, the madras was chilly hot. They put a service charge on the bill. We paid approx £6 and our final bill was about £60 with a couple of pints of lager. We shared a starter, madras curry and a Biriyani with a naan and chappati. I would definitely go again.

Food average.Expensive.That aside, it appears that the owner of this establishment will not allow his waiters to keep any tips handed over. I suppose he pockets it for himself? Where did the service charge we paid go?If this really is the case, it is certainly immoral, at best. I would not return for this reason alone.Treat your staff with decency and let them take tips for their work. It says a lot about the management.

We family of 3 went to have dinner there. Restaurant was freezing as it was -2 degrees outside, so we asked staff can you please adjust the temperature as it’s too cold and my son (4years) was shivering. One staff said ya it’s done, and after few mins I realised still same I did ask another staff member can you please check if temperature is set correctly as it’s still freezing and he said this side of heating is not working. We asked him can we sit somewhere else as most of the restaurant was empty. But he refused and said all seats are reserved which was b******t. We couldn’t enjoy our food and finished as quickly as we could in our thick coats and jackets and left. Staff even was not apologetic about it. And the last thing they add service charge on bill which is not even mandatory. So just to give everyone heads up please check the bill before paying and ask to remove it as we did ask them after paying and staff said cannot reimburse now. Will never step in there again. We went to have a nice time but would have rather sat at home and ordered it from somewhere else or went to some other place where they can control the temperature and don’t leave customers to freeze.

This was our first trip to the Raj on a cold Sunday evening while our son watched a film next door. In the 2 hours we were I'm the restaurant we were the only 'eat in' dinner. There were also only two takeaways collected in the same time frame. This was quite a surprise to us as the food was delicious, well cooked, and very fresh. The menu is extremely broad, including various vegan options as well as the usual as veg and non-veg dishes. The staff were friendly and very attentive... although maybe they were just pleased to have someone to serve! So in summary, we'd recommend it!

Friendly people. Fab food. However, the toilets were not good. There was no toilet paper, and the ladies hadn't been cleaned. I'm disappointed on that front. Mentioned it to them and they said they'd sort the issue as I was leaving.

So had been here with family. The Chefs are amazing. The service staff was fabulous as well. It’s just the only thing I didn’t like was when I was paying and saw a service charge of £11 pounds. I frankly speaking do not mind paying the service charge but when I confirmed with the service staff about do they get this money? He said no it goes to the hotel not for the service staff who actually deserve it. I don’t want to name the staff that told me this but this is so cheap. If the staff deserve it just give it to them in cash rather than paying on the PED machines.

Excellent! I've eaten at their sister restaurant the Bhurj Swindon too - also fantastic. The chicken lollipops are a must have, but I haven't eaten a single thing there I didn't thoroughly enjoy. And the mango kulfi is really creamy and flavourful. 10/10 recommend!

Even though this is walking distance from our home we don’t go here enough but after the latest meal we had, we will definitely visit more often. My son had the tandoori mixed grill, my wife had the passanda and I had the butter chicken done to a madras strength and all was amazing. Reasonable prices too and great service but the curries are so tasty that I will be recommending this place to friends and family.
