After driving around delivering parcels we came across the Rising Sun, we were famished. We thought we were too late for food, but were offered the menu and a table by the fire. The food was fantastic, I would recommend the chicken thigh burger and the service was wonderful, such lovely people. We will return, thank you.
Visiting the area for the day and as a Sunday, lots of other places booked up, staff accommodated us without a problem. Order the Pork roast, which was excellent, Pork fell apart and tasted wonderful. Wife had Chicken which was just as succulent. I don’t like Cauliflower Cheese which they normally serve for 2, but provided a single portion. I want to say, how welcome everyone here made myself & my twin sister feel when we broke down outside. The landlord Freddie, all the staff and locals were some of the most accommodating people I’ve ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble to help us both. I couldn’t recommend The Rising Sun more.
