“We used to visit The Chequers regularly under the previous ownership but became very disillusioned with the poor service so stopped going. We thought it was about time we gave it another try under the new ownership and we weren’t disappointed! The food was as delicious as ever and the service was second to none. No more having to sit there with dirty plates in front of you for what seemed like an eternity, no more having to wait and wait for them to come and take your order. These guys were on the ball. Very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be going back. Thank you for resurrecting our favourite restaurant.”

“Had originally planned to go to the Wych Way Harvester down the road, but after having had the manager there be rude and unprofessional, we decided to come to the Crown instead. I am so glad we did the place was spotless, the food was amazing. The ladies behind the bar were lovely and the young chap running food was on form. He was smily and engaged with my 2 year old niece really well. An absolute credit to the team. Will now be using The Crown as our go to place for food as a family as we live less than 5 minutes away. Thank you Team Crown you smashed it.”

“A lovely little café, had the Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Panini, which was amazing, if only I'd ordered a second!
Coffee was also lovely, though a little frothy for a latte.
