I last reviewed this pub 4 years ago as a 3/4 star.Having been going more frequently recently, I'm updating my review to a solid 5.The decor inside the pub is a throwback to how all pubs used to be (see video) and is maintained and looked after throughout. The current owners are extremely welcoming to anyone who passes through the front or back door. Visited on Saturday after a nice walk along the canal arrived as they opened at 12. Had a couple of drinks. landlord and landlady very pleasant . Cosy pub great location by the canal defiantly return.Friendly cat name unknown.

Wow !! To all truckers ( n anyone else) Parked up called in never been in before what an absolutely fantastic couple Donna n Pete are made me so bloody welcome felt like part of the family couldn’t do enough for me n Donna even made me food !!! Bloody great food too !!! U got to visit this place ppl stunning pub n for me best landlady /lord ever met !!! Will make this my park up place whenever possible
