Great pub with great food and beverages.Bit too busy on a weekend, you need to book in advance for a table but it's also got a cracking outdoor area. It's great seeing dogs about (well behaved ones) enjoying the sniffs of the orchard. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We love the open fires.

What a beautiful gem of a pub, fabulous service and top notch pies. Really enjoyed the open fire and atmosphere in there. I hope to come back and try another pie... Ot twoFood & drinks: Super food, massive range of ales.

I’d been told about this pub a few years ago and had driven past it several times but never been in – I thought it was a National Trust building that happened to sell drinks. But it’s much much more than that. Went there last week and was so impressed – not just by the magnificent building but the warm welcome from the staff and brilliant atmosphere. It’s rich in history and full of cosy places to sit, soak in the ambiance and taste the excellent ale. The food looks great too although this time round we didn’t have time to stay for a meal. But we’ll be back – and probably on a night when there’s live entertainment which are frequent. Would say this is a must for anyone who finds themselves in the area.

A fantastic pub. Book for sure if you want food. The tiny, ancient pub is like stepping back in time. Fabulous large beer garden, ideal for large groups and families with young children. Warm log fires on our visit so very cosy. We had great service and delicious food washed down with a lovely white wine. Highly recommend a visit here. Parking in front of the pub. We were lucky enough to have walked across the fields on our visit which was a touch.Walkability: The pub is located between a number of Cotswold villages so a good place to aim for on a walk.Noteworthy details: Low ceilings, half timbered rooms, stone floors.Lovely food.

Lovely gem of an historic pub. Didn't eat but the food looked really nice. Great to sit by a real fire on a cold day.

Lovely selection of lager and ales, 3 open fires to choose from, exactly how I would describe a cozy traditional pub. My new local.

Four of us went for dinner on Tuesday evening. Superb food and service. Cosy table by the open fire. Two of us were celebrating birthdays and a good time was had.

This is the most amazing little pub. It's is packed full of English charm. There was a lovely roaring fire when we visited on a cold February day.The pub is quite small, so the tables are similar, but that's all part of the charm! There's a brilliant menu with something for everyone. Being a pescatarian, I still have lots of options. The food came really quickly and was absolutely delicious, I had a vegetarian pie which was the nicest pie's I've ever had!Staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There is a car park just outside the pub.
