We stayed for 2 nights in the the guestroom and felt like going back in time and staying in a medieval inn!We visited during the Wassail weekend and despite the cold weather it was fun in the orchard with the Morris dancing and Wassail activities. Time passed by fast and our stay was very pleasant. This fabulous historic building makes a beautiful pub, especially with all its tasteful Christmas lighting and open fires. The food was really excellent and generously portioned. There was some sort of delay with our mains which wasn't explained, but it was a very busy service.We will be back.This is a pub not a hotel and they only have one room you can book to stay in as far as I know.Food & drinks: Excellent food reasonably priced for the high standard.

Stunning, atmospheric old inn with lovely staff. If those historic walls could talk they would have some tales to tell. I had the pie and I think it might have been the best pie I have ever eaten- and I confess, I have eaten a whole load of pies!The barn out the back is the most charming venue you could ever wish to see a show.???
