Warm friendly pub, fantastic service, we enjoyed a family Sunday roast. Absolutely delicious, best roast ever and we ate everything. Great pudding choices and a pub great atmosphere. Will be booking for a family birthday celebration soon. Added bonus no washing up to do! Real ales ? great too! Thank you ?? ?

Went there on New Years Eve best evening we have had for a long time . The food was great and the band was brilliant. The atmosphere was party like . The staff were very good . Well done to you all for giving us a wonderful evening.

My husband and I took our family and friends (8 of in total) with us for Sunday roast (10/12/33). Table was booked for 3 pm, the table was ready however it was in the top room which can get a bit chilly (old building), the staff offered us another table in the main section of the pub but there would be a wait 10-15mins, we were happy to wait. We ordered at the bar, food came out within 20 minutes. Food was fresh and absolutely delicious! One thing that a few of the party mentioned was the plates could have been hotter to keep the warmth of the food as there was sooo much to eat! Everyone had a roast dinner with variations of the 3 meats available (turkey, beef or gammon). Vegetables are served separately. We ordered the extra cauliflower cheese which was incredible. Plenty of gravy! Would highly recommend. Nothing is too much trouble and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. My husband and father loved the selection of beer on draught too! We have been in the past for a drink with our dog, hugely dog friendly pub, has dog biscuits on the bar and if your dog needs a water bowl, the staff are happy to help!

Sometimes, just sometimes you stumble across an absolute gem of a country pub. Let me tell you The Old Chestnut Tree Inn, is that pub! When you walk in you’re greeted with smiles from the lovely couple who run the pub Amanda & Alex. They make you feel like a local straight away and find you a nice cosy place to sit and chill. Me and my fiancé only came for drinks, but we had such a lovely experience that we had dinner. The food was superb, we had their lovely fish & chips and mushy peas, which was smashing! The pub is clean, spacious and has a gorgeous fireplace, which is really cosy. Professional staff and run to a high standard! Highly recommend!
