Horrible & RudeAfter coming here for quite a few years, we consider our selves as ‘regular customers’, However, on this occasion, today my husband and myself were disappointed in the way a complaint we made was handled. We attended today with friends, placed our order and it arrived after 40 minutes.My husband and friend were given their fish and chips and the other 2 dish’s then followed. However, both my husband and his friend clearly both agreed that the fish and peas were cold after trying some. The 2 dish’s were therefore returned. After a short while, the same fish and chips were brought back, but then given back to the wrong person.Although the fish was then hot, it was completely dried out, we all then decided that it wasn’t right. So we asked if it could be returned. Shortly after, the chief appeared from no where with a face like thunder. Instead of politely asking and communicating about the issues, he rudely stated that he had checked the temperatures with his probe and it was right.He was shockingly, very arrogant, and rude, almost as if criticism was just not aloud, as he was perfect!! This then made us feel as though we were lying. He did not apologise or even try to resolve the issues. He simply told us there was no fish left, and basically what else did we want.I later approached him, and he did not want to talk or try and resolve the issue. He was extremely arrogant, and rude with no communication skills at all. He simply did not care. Although, a simple apology would have gone a long way, but it’s clear that he has no scope to try to resolves issues.No apologyNo attempts to resolve the issuesNo communicationMade to feel that you are just being awkwardNo time for customer feedbackNo customer rapportTime is of essence’s, no good saying you don’t have time when things go wrong as we had to pay for it.

Words just can’t describe how good this food really is! Steak and ale pie was sensational, loaded with lashings of melt in your mouth meat and a lovely gravy sauce! The pints of Guinness were creamy and beautifully poured!The choc chip and caramel cheesecake was thick and just made love to my mouth.Staff had a perfect balance of making sure your needs were catered for without being too much or non existent.Wish Kent could produce restaurants like this but that sadly wouldn’t ever happen.I managed to convince my companion Jordan to have the pie instead of the burger, and he couldn’t thank me enough whilst shoveling this never ending pot of succulent steak into his mouth.

Well priced food and a large selection of drinks available, lovley cosy feeling but with alot of space and room for larger groups, pool table and dart board for entertainment with friends or for a cheeky date night. Staff are very helpful and friendly.Parking: Large parking area ideal for all size of vehicles

The food was excellent but the service and treatment towards us was awful. Firstly, I ordered a pot of tea the server brought it to the table and asked Do you want milk with that?Strange comment it should have been brought to the table as a matter of course. I asked for a glass of water, I asked a second time still no water i had to ask a third time before the water was brought to the table. The meal arrived I asked if I could have some gravy this never arrived. Lastly I asked for a cappuccino and this never arrived. Overall a very bad service towards us and we will not be returning customers.

Hi Everything was excellent, will, definitely be back.
I recommend this place to anyone that listens the food is phenomenal and never disappoints I’ve never finished an entire meal yet as they are so filling and delicious but as your savouring every bit you fill up very quickly lovely atmosphere staff are fantastic and always accommodating they have a dart board and a pool table honestly my favourite place ever
