We enjoyed a family Sunday lunch in mid February. A warm welcome, great service and excellent food. The beer was outstanding, the best pint of IPA I've had for a long time.I would highly recommend this pub if you're in the area.

Food is over priced and extremely disappointing here, Sirlon steak at over £30 was cold on arrival and sent back to the kitchen who I presume just microwaved it as it came back on the same plate, my mother and fathers venison was the same but due to it being a family occasion didn’t choose to say anything until afterwards, there are so many better places around Bedfordshire for food I’m really disappointed we chose to go here based on other reviews as for the prices per meal you would expect much higher quality. The pub itself is nice and staff were very friendly but the food is below par, a beefeater would have been a better option.

Choice of meals was very good, choose the venison which was excellent and very reasonable

All grand, as usual! Proper local gastropub! Not been for a while, but still up to scratch!

Had Christmas dinner here with the extended family, good choice on the menu and the food was excellent. The pork belly was especially good!We have been here in the summer too and sat in the back garden area one of the picnic tables close to the children's play area which is great for keeping an eye on children when they want to play if you just want to relax and enjoy the sun.

First time here. Small and cozy. Really nice place. Will be back.

Not eaten here before. On arrival lovely polite welcome by the staff. Shown through to the restaurant which was very cozy, and seated next to the xmas tree. We ordered 3 x Sunday roasts and I had the sea bass. They were all generous portions and very well cooked and presented. All washed down with a great glass of red. The sweets were equally as good as the mains. Over all a fabulous Sunday lunch ? at a very reasonable price.Well done to the team, and a big thank you.

Lots of choice on the menu: meat, vegetarian and vegan. A lovely old fashioned pub with great atmosphere. Staff were helpful and attentive but not overly attentive. A large car park - it needs to busy and they are very busy. Need to book.

1st time here and loved it. Bit of a wait for food but that wasn't a problem as it was worth the wait. Old pub with beams and a log burner. Intimate spaces for special occasions. Huge rear garden with climbing area for the kids, plenty of outdoor seating too. Clean place, good polite staff. Will definitely be revisiting soon!Parking: Not a huge carpark but enough to cope on a busy dayKid-friendliness: Play park at rear, fenced off, safe

Dropped in for an early Friday evening meal at the Crown. Was just what we wanted after a bussy day out. The food was excellent, not over fussy and we'll cooked and presented. Friendly attentive staff. Small pub with a big heart.
