As a night time hgv driver, Costa is my go to place at Moto service stations. However, Toddington northbound often has staff in there that say they're closed as they're on their break. I don't begrudge anyone taking a break, but at night, they're not necessarily rushed off their feet all night are they?! Terrible experience! First no maple drinks even though they were advertised. I ordered a decaf cappuccino small and it was in a huge cup, tasted of hot water and milk and had to be sent back. I swapped it for a cup of tea which quite frankly wasn’t much better. Staff who swapped it was lovely and understanding , she wasn’t the one who had made the drinks! Having stopped for a quick coffee break on our travels North our coffee order was misplaced so we had an extra wait. No fault of the staff who were overworked. Costa need to better staff their shops and stop taking advantage of the easy money made out of motorway stations. Senior management at Costa - come on, staff your stores better and take the pressure of the young guys working hard for you!
