It’s a lovely venue and the staff were polite and friendly. The food was adequate although there are a couple of sticky points. Oven chips and oven cooked Scampi! I appreciate it’s not a Michelin starred restaurant and also that this is a 1st world problem but it’s a little disappointing.

Really lovely afternoon tea. Right on our doorstep. Sandwiches were fresh and great fillings and don't get me started on the scones, warm and really big so nice. Cakes also were lovely. To be honest the scone did it for me. I am so full . Thank

Booked to come for lunch same day and drove all the way there, sat down and was given menus. Waitress then comes over to explain that they were so busy (restaurant was empty bar two tables!) That the chef will only make sandwiches not the proper menu.Truly wish they had thought about that when we called to book, so we didn't waste a whole drive coming there.Probably won't return as it seems disorganised with a chef that only cooks when they fancy doing so. Awful first impression.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Some menu items were not available but this was explained before ordering. Restaurant is very attractive inside and the outdoor views are pleasant. Not many other diners this evening. Food was well presented and tasty. The BEST chips I've EVER eaten to accompany my 5 oz steak. I can't award more stars as noticed after we'd left that we were overcharged for drinks we had not received.

Table of 6 of us had a fab meal here on a Friday night. Luke the food and beverage supervisor is superb and bent over backwards to ensure we had a great evening. His knowledge of the drinks menu through to allowing me to order a hybrid dessert was fantastic and he was so friendly. The food was delicious with generous portions and a nice selection to choose from all well presented. Beau's is a real hidden gem. Only thing I would change would be to add a bit of background music as the restaurant was quite quiet when we got there and it felt like the other diners could hear everything we were saying.Vegetarian options: Nice selection for the veggies in our party that weren't the usual boring ones.Parking: Loads of free parking.

What a great restaurant is Beau's.The place has great atmosphere with cool music in the background. Tye service was excellent from the welcome from luke M to the excel k ent polish waitress who was very attentive, showed a super personality and willingness to make your experience at Beau's great. We both had the pork tenderloin with fondant potatoes, heritage carrots, samphire with a cider sauce. It was superb. That was followed by a raspberry and apple crumble with vegan vanilla ice cream and a sticky toffee pudding. You should go to Beau's, it is a hidden gem in Newbury

Lovely location and menu but the toilets are a let down very basic and not what you would think they would be like.

Special birthday treat. Good not busy on a Sunday. Underrated venue, very good wine list and food very well presented. Must go again.

We came here on a Saturday at 7pm and it was a ghost town. Thank goodness they put the music on when we arrived, was only us and another couple in there and when they left we had the place to ourselves! We had mainly picky bits of food but everything was really tasty - the tempura prawns definitely weren’t tempura but they were still lovely. Wish there was some other sauces beside packet sachets - sweet chilli would go well with most of the options. The setting was stunning with the golf course grounds and the castle. The staff were accommodating. I can imagine this being a great place for a golf getaway, not so much just dinner.
