Of all the chains I most prefer Caffe Nero. Their drinks are always nicer than others and consistently made. This branch is the same, the Batista's are always lovely but the interior and furniture isn't as nice as some of their other branches. I think it needs some new furniture.
Nero boasts about having the best Cappuccino in London. It's definitely the best in Newbury IMHO.Back in the day, before Covid, I loved sitting in, primarily because I like their music selection; jazz and classical. Cakes are great too. Big fan of the pain aux raisin and the toasted panettone.Drinks wise, I tend to go for the Cappuccino, Americano - which you'd have to go some distance to get wrong - and the Cortado.You can't go wrong with Nero.
