Just popped in for chips on a Friday afternoon. It was way after closing time but the door was open so took a chance. Server was very cheerful and cooked a new batch for us. Needless to say that they were very hot and delicious. Though we ordered small, I think that they were large portions.
Excellent fish and chips in the heart of Newbury.Lots of options on the menu - although all the expected classics are there. All the fish dishes are tasty and well battered, and hold up well even for take away. I usually have a pea fritter & piece of Cod. The pea fritters are the best! Always really crispy, crunchy batter & loads of filling. Likewise, the fish batter is always crispy & the fish tastes fresh. Staff are lovely & friendly-no complaints!
