“If you want proper pies with real filling then this is the only place to go. We decided to eat in the little (but spacious) restaurant, after grabbing a nice pint of Harvey's beer from the bar, we sat down and had a cracking pie, chips and gravy. The staff are super friendly and I forgot to take a picture as the pie was too tasty ?Edit: Adding a picture from another visit later on.”

“We came to Valpy St just for drinks and were super impressed by the service. The cocktails were expertly mixed and the wine choice was fantastic. The two waiters were really friendly and stayed on even when we were the last two customers. I would love to come back for food sometime.”

“Food was honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the mussels to start and sea bass with octopus for main, while my partner enjoyed the squid starter and lamb main. I can’t speak to his food (although he said is was very good!), but my seafood dishes were incredible. Portions are extremely generous, allergies are well-catered for, and fresh, seasonal ingredients are used to provide delicious tasting dishes. Staff were lovely and, when a very slight delay occurred with my partner’s dessert, the manager insisted on giving us a bottle of wine to enjoy at home - a gesture totally not required (we didn’t mind the wait!), but extremely appreciated. We won’t hesitate to come back.”

“Delicious from start to finish. Yorkshire puddings with mini beef roasts inside - next level - scampi to start along with a tasting board of whitebait, panka prawns, cheese scones and diddy sausages in honey and mustard. All was impressive but have to say that beef was arguably the best tasting and best cooked I’ve ever had on a Sunday, in my life, in the works, ever. Bravo the bladebone, 1st class food, 1st class service.”
