My partner and I booked last minute, as the other pub we planned to go to wasn't serving food. I rang ahead and managed to secure a table. From the start upon arrival the service was second to none. Our hostess was so welcoming and attentive. We sat down for dinner and enjoyed our starters, which were beautifully presented, and very filling. After a short break our mains were delivered. I simply can't fault the Chicken Schnitzel that I very much enjoyed, and my partner loved her steak and ale pie (which I was fortunate to have a little sample of, the beef was beautifully cooked and the pastry was spot on) we finished the evening with a lovely cheese board that was beautifully presented. Food wise 12 out of 10, service 11 out of 10. The Butt Inn really has a winning formula, and I'm looking forward to dinning there again.

Large family birthday celebration, we were made very welcome. All starters and most meals very good. Roast pork and burger particularly were excellent. One meal was cold but replaced quickly, 2 puddings were forgotten and came out very lateOverall ambience good and would return

The team at the Butt In was able to fit us in (a table of 13 including 2 children) at very short notice, and we were so grateful. The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. We had a mixture of the Sunday menu and the main menu as well as children's and all of it was soooo good!Thank you much, we will be back soon xDietary restrictions: The team accommodated our gluten-free person as well as children, and all the food was amazing. Hot and delicious ?Kid-friendliness: The Tram were so accommodating for the children and the portions for the were brilliant.

Lady behind the bar didn't seem very inviting, the room was cold, no soft furnishings to soften the noise of other people in the pub - unfortunately on the day I visited with a party of 4 there was a birthday party meal going on and they were very noisy making it hard to have a conversation with my fellow dinners. I had the sausage and mustard mash dinner which was a little disappointing, 3 sausages on a pile of mash, I asked for gravy on the side (my choice), but no greenery or veg, other members of my party had Ham egg and chips which looked OK, Ham was a bit fatty, and a Korean burger and fries, this looked like the best dish out of the 4Parking: Gravel area with plenty of parking to the side of the pub, easy access to pub entrance

Third visit to this lovely pub. The interior decor has been totally transformed and modernised (lovely parquet flooring).Always a wonderful welcome. Service is excellent and staff are friendly and helpful. The varied menu offers fantastic value and portions are generous. The only problem is - what delicious meal to choose! My Mum had the French onion soup and rarebit starter - which was a very generous portion! I enjoyed the steak and ale pie - proper pie with a top AND a bottom, lovely crispy pastry. Buttered seasonal vegetable and all served nice and not.Partner had the Vietnamese curry, basmati rice, red chilli, pomegranate & fresh lime - lots of fresh ingredients and colour.Lovely puds - love the value offered by the small puds with hot drink (£5.50) and the coffee (cappuccino) had a lovely thick creamy froth - and again, nice and hot. All too often one has to down coffee because it's only luke warm - but that isn't the case here!Keep up the great work folks - we will most certainly be back again! Your Chef clearly knows what he is doing in that kitchen!
