Love this place- have been getting takeaways here since 1990, and it's always great. Love the veggie versions of dishes they do ! You usually get a small discount if you go in to collect it yourself. Large portions as well !Vegetarian options: Ask for a veggie version of something on the menu, and they can usually accommodate if it's not there already.Parking: Parking just off the one way street opposite - 1 pound for an hour. For me, Caversham Tandoori is the best Indian take away in Reading. Having tried most of them over the years I would only use Caversham Tandoori now for take aways or deliveries. The food is amazing and always delicious. The delivery is very quick and the food is well priced compared to other take aways.

First time we have ordered from this takeaway. Ordered online but weirdly you then have to call them to pay so what’s the point of ordering online? You might as well order when you call them to pay. Anyway, called to pay and they had no record on my online order (even though the website confirmed an order time; 17.11) so I had to place the order verbally. They said they were busy and advised a delivery time of one hour. It arrived after one hour 15 minutes so that’s fine....read full review
