Grade 2 listed interior, lovely beer garden. And a big selection of rolls are available with generous fillings.This pub is national treasure, you must visit.”

Pubs • “What a fantastic pub !Made to feel very welcome by the staff to start with.Then .... the selection of drinks is amazing, something like 25 cask & keg ales ? but for me it was the ciders .. OMG .. about 15 ciders of different .. dryness, crispness, sweetness, fruits, dry, mild, sweet & strengths.Inside the pub was nicely decked & inviting with two tv's for sports etc then outside had an open seating area & a marquee with plenty of tables & facilities for two tv's so they obviously cater for a lot of sports fans. Highly recomend this pub & i'll be sure to visit next time i'm in the area.”

Pubs • “Love this bar. My favourite of Reading's haunts. They have a stellar gallery of obscure and delightful beers, the place feels quite homely and intimate. The staff have always been friendly and the piano is in good nick for a public piano. Thoroughly recommended!”
“This pub was recommended to me by some friends and I want to say this was a great experience. There were 5 of us and the service was great. Very friendly staff and Ady the proprietor was great. We went straight for the main course and the Cod with chicken butter was delicious. The crusted Salmon was chosen by 3 guests who all said it was great. I've of the guests was a vegetarian who had the butternut squash with beans and she treated it really well. The desserts ( lemon cheesecake with lemon curd topping ) was so tasty and the chocolate brownie was melt in your mouth. The bill,, whilst not badly priced I felt was great for such good quality food . We are going back again and I am already looking forward to it. The pub has character and included great views and a nice selection of beers/lagers. Definite recommended.”
