We went for an end of week meal and drinks and Ella was fantastic. Full of energy, quick service on drinks and an excellent host. Best service we have had in a pub in Reading for a long long time. Quality food and good tunes in the background to.
This is a characterful and popular place which overseas visitors always love. Open fires, exposed brick and beamed ceilings. We've been for drinks light bites and also Sunday lunch. Food is good though roast potatoes weren't crispy so prob wouldn't recommend for a roast. Desserts are gorgeous and all food is fresh. Service is friendly but very slow when busy. Plenty of parking. I was the organiser for a leaving dinner due for one of my work colleagues. Was an amazing evening, food was lovely (compliments to the chef), atmosphere was great and our waitress, Ella was lovely, attentive, friendly, professional and she was my "partner in crime" helping me to organise a little surprise for my colleague and friend who's leaving.Thank you, Ella!!!
